I've started playing TF-2 yesterday and I kinda suck xD

I think it's a bit hectical if you are used to Shooters like CoD. Also I have some problems with getting used to mouse+keyboard instead of gamepad. Anyway it's a lot of fun and the amount of Bronys in the game seems very high(I saw one named RainbowCrash and a Flutterguy) :)

Do you have any advices for a TF2 noob(classes, mouse-sensibility, item-shop ect)?

Scout: Always keep running, never stop running, when in front of an enemy start double jumping from side to side to avoid damage and get an easier kill.

Recommended set of items:

Scattergun

Pistol or Lugermorph.

Sandman.

Soldier: Never try to direct hit a rocket, try aiming at the feet of an enemy, with chances you may get them in the air, if you do that try to throw a rocket to them or safer use shotgun and damage them in the air, make sure you ALWAYS have your rocket launcher reloaded, it's a free kill to the enemy reload in front of them.

Recommended set of items:

Black Box or Rocket Launcher for defense. Liberty Launcher, Direct Hit or Rocket Launcher for attack.

Batallion's Backup or Shotgun for defense. Buff Banner or Shotgun for attack.

Equalizer.

Pyro: Pyro has several forms of using it, normally, the degreaser set, in my opinion i don't like it, there's also the one that makes people rage that's the W+M1 method (W+Mouse 1). For degreaser set, make sure you always attack to a spot that the enemy has nowhere to run, so you can get him quickly, the technique is like this: Right Click with degreaser to the enemy throwing him to a wall (airblast), change to Axtinguisher and hit the enemy and you got a kill. If you are all by yourself and don't have enough ammo to airblast the airblast an enemy to the nearest wall, then airblast him and shoot him with shotgun. For W+M1 set, make sure you have a Backburner (Not Phlosgitinator, that gun is for babies), hide yourself or wait in a weird spot then run and burn the enemy from the back, OR rush in to all the enemies and fire until you burn all the enemies, airblast is not recommended for W+M1 set.

Recommended set of items:

For degreaser set:

Degreaser

Reserve Shooter

Powerjack, Axtinguisher or Postal Pummeler.

For W+M1 set:

Backburner

Shotgun

Powerjack

Demoman: Now demoman is a very very good class both for defense and attack, make sure you throw use your Grenade Launcher for direct hits, it's 2 hit kill or 1 hit kill, grenade launcher with direct hits can destroy a sentry very quickly, although Sticky Launcher is recommended for this. When you are going with Shield + Sword (Demoknight) you are most effective for attacking and ambush defenses, when being a demoknight make sure you click right at the exact moment that the sword lights up to make a (normally) 1 hit kill of 195 damage, if you don't calculate the attack very good, you will do a Minicrit, which can get you dead, but if you have Splendid Screen, make sure you ALWAYS hit the enemy with the charge and then decapitate him.

Recommended set of items:

For Demoman:

Grenade Launcher

Sticky Bomber.

Eyelander.

For Demoknight:

Ali Baba's Wee Booties, Bootleger or Loch-N-Load.

Splendid Screen.

Eyelander or Zatoichi.

Heavy: Heavy is perfect for both for attack and defense, but he qualifies as a 5 star defense class.

Make sure you have a medic on the team following you, if there's no medic for the team, make sure you have a Sandvich.

Heavy does a severe ammount of damage at close range, so make sure you ambush the enemy or hold a regular distance between you and the enemy, damaging enemies from distance may be useless, just 5 of damage.

Recommended set of items:

Minigun or Natascha for defense. Minigun or Tomislav for attack.

Sandvich.

Fists or Killing Gloves of Boxing.

Engineer: Now Engineer is one of the best classes for defense, just make sure to build your sentry in a not so obvious spot or one that camps the enemies, but if you have a Gunslinger, you can be very good for attacking and support your team with quick damage from your mini sentry.

Recommended set of items:

Shotgun or Widowmaker.

Pistol or Lugermorph.

Jag.

Sniper: Now read this very well... Sniper is a pretty strategic class, headshots can almost 1 hit kill any enemy, including a heavy.

Now... when you are aiming, make sure you are moving from left to right and avoid any kind of damage so your aim doesn't move, and make sure you are ALWAYS aiming quickly to the head, this is important, when you aimed to an enemies head, don't keep tracking the head of the enemy, just shoot when you have his head on the aim, it must be quick and precise. NEVER bodyshot, this can reveal your spot, and may also decrease reputation and get called a noob... don't worry, bodyshoting is not for noobs, remember, Sniper was made for killing from distances right? Not just for headshots. And when there's an enemy close to you, throw him jarate and rush to him and kill him with melee, SMG is not good for close combat. Normally a jarate would make them run away from you, since sniper with jarate + plus melee is one or 2 hit kill.

Recommended set of items:

Sniper Rifle

Jarate

Bushwacka

Medic: Just make sure you heal your team everytime someone calls for medic, don't keep following someone all the time, heal all the team, stay always behind the one you are healing in case of being attacked, if you are by yourself, run and keep shooting nails, in case you are healing or close to a spy, melee him.

Recommended set of items:

Blutsauger

Medigun or Kritzkrieg

Ubersaw.

Now with spy... i really don't know how to use him properly, as there is a lot of ways to use him, but i can tell you it's a very good class if you get the hand of it.

Now i hoped that helped, good luck out there.

Team Fortress 2

19.1 hrs / 675 hrs

>:33

My backpack, nothing special. :>

I wanna add everybody! :D

Over 1000 hours here. I sayeth!

In the "proposals" I have seen announced, most if not all of them appear to be jokes. For example, an announcement flashed that Frodo had given "One Ring to Rule Them All" (you can name the "engagement" ring) to Gandalf. I laughed pretty hard when I read it.

I've seen 2 brony announcements, and I screencapped one of them =D

You..you...

I just got hacked, not having any items, and i see this.

I fucking explode.

Nice backpack btw.

Aww, man. That really sucks! Listen, in all seriousness, if you need or want some items, I'd be more than happy to give you some. I know it might come off as "lol i got lots of excess," but I'm dead serious.

Thanks! But i can't trade now, account when i log off it gets password changed, so im asking steam if i create a new account and give me the games i had.

If it doesn't work, then i will have to take the way of never turning off the computer.

Hopefully Valve will be compliant. TF2 may be free but you might have other games which are not.

I haven't played in like foreverz but from what I remember...

Engineer > all. Building a turret somewhere almost unreachable and racking up free kills is pure winsauce.

Sentries have many weaknesses to be taken advantage off. Unreacheable places usually pays the price for being able to be taken down from a distance!

Anypony else notice several places you could sentry/wrangler-jump to now can't be built on?

One place in particular I noticed was the little balcony thing (by BLU's second spawn room) above the first point on Gorge. When playing RED, I used to love to wrangler-jump up there and get a nest set up. Noobies would just out blindly onto the point and die, until a skilled Demoman would take me out.

Smells like a lazy idler.

He has been playing Team Fortress 2 for quite long, considering he has the Cheater's Lament that also says one thing about idling. I'm more convinced he didn't idle.. =)

Then your olfactory senses are waning. I have never once idled: all of these items come through drops, purchases, trades, and crafting. I just happen to play a lot of TF2 (+1600 hours). You can also check my screen caps, too, if you need material evidence. And if you check my personal stats, I'm pretty legit (I admit to going to achievement servers once in a while to get those annoyingly difficult achievements).

As someone who plays a lot of heavy, I have some different advice than that one guy a few pages back.

Tomislav is cheap as hell and you should take advantage of that. Normally, a heavy player has to be able to judge when to rev and when not to because you're quite vulnerable when you do so. Tomislav negates the weakness, and even with it's slower firing speed, it still does enough damage to kill everything except a minigun heavy.

If you're good at it, I'd go with the minigun, especially if you have a medic with you.

Always use the sandvich. Don't use anything else, especially the dalokohs bar.

You should almost always use the Gloves of Running Urgently, since a fast heavy is an awesome heavy, and the health degen isn't much of a problem unless you get ambushed and aren't near health. If you have a medic, there is no reason not to use the GRU. There are a few cases in which the fists of steel might be a better choice, such as pushing a payload cart, but even then, you'd probably do better by just taking out your gun and shooting back instead of just tanking their shots.

Also, as a pyro, if you get good with the flaregun, you are awesome. It crits on burning enemies, dealing a whopping 90 damage. 2 flares will kill almost anything, and if it doesn't, you can hit them a third time, or wait a few seconds as they burn to death.

Learn to airblast. It's useful, it can put out burning teammates, it can reflect rockets, grenades, and even arrows. You can push sticky bombs around. You can throw people off of a point, or even off the map.

Don't W+M1 unless you're smart about it. Running towards somebody while spewing flames is going to get you killed. Take the long way around and flank the enemy, take a lesser used route so you can come out of a place they won't suspect you. Then you can W+M1.

Puff n' sting is a common pyro strategy. You use the degreaser and axtinguisher. You send out a tiny puff of flames to ignite them airblast them into a wall (if they're close enough. If not, don't), and use the degreasers quick switch time to pull out the axe and crit them, hopefully before they have time to react.

I seriously hate that, most of all the people who think they are pro for doing that.

It requires some tactic, mind you!

I used to play a ton of TF2, but around the time of the Mann. Co update I started to lose interest. So much was added all at once, and now the game is cluttered with weapons and items and hats and GAH! Why couldn't we just stick with the vanilla loadouts, and a single update pack for each character, like what was being done at the start?
