Babs/Bad Seed Song

Party Cannon

Recommended Posts

So far I haven't really liked a single song in season 3. None of the songs even come close to the level of This Day Aria or Smile Smile Smile.

Well to be fair those songs are pretty hard to measure up to, but yeah I agree. I liked this song well enough but I'm hoping for something big within the next couple episodes, ideally an amazing Dash solo during Wonderbolt Academy.

It's my favourite song as well! I love the tune, lyrics, music, and how catchy it is. My previous favourite song was split between Everypony Smile and This Day Aria. I've found my favourite one now x3

It is repetitive, but catchy. Not unlike the last song the CMCs sung as a group! :P

At least in Bad Seed, they're not lip synching a love sick bunny. :)

I liked how this song really made the CMC sound more mature. Last season, they sounded extremely young, but now they just sound a little younger than The Mane 6. I think this is my favorite song so far.

Finland is my favorite. All the other Hetalia characters can go now.

The song itself was amazing. I could even go as far as saying best of Season 3 so far. But my only complaint is the video.

I found it to be quite repetitive to my liking. But other than that, this song will be a favorite of mine.

I loved it, and i would go so far as say it is my favorite song on the show in any season. I've probably listened to it six times in total today!

I think it's the best song of the season thus far. The catchy melody and montage really help bring it home, breaking away from some of the more linear rhythms of the songs from "The Crystal Empire." Those songs were good, but this one is really top-notch. It'll stick in your head, for better or worse.

Bad Seed seemed like it was influenced by songs you would find in 1990s cartoons. No wonder a lot of people liked it almost immediately. In fact, it almost seemed as if the What's New Scooby Doo? theme song was playing along with a mix of songs from Japanese anime that were English dubbed. If so, it's a great reference to what the producers have built before or otherwise being as subtle as possible with the pop culture themes explored through much of the series.

This is the most well created song of the season so far. The animation in it is really good and I like how they show the different ways Babs Seed is making them feel bad. Felt a little better then the last episode about the Pinkie clones attacking Poyville. This one just showed more and the other one didn't show much. It is also very catchy. This is now my favorite CMC song.

I loved it so much, it was very catchy and cute to me. I can tell that this song is going to get stuck in my head a lot for a while now. It has become my favorite song so far out of them all beside "At the Gala". :)

Yes, the montage was definitely the main draw for me. The song was amazing in and of itself, but I'm guessing that the animators finally threw up their hands and said: "Alright, we're done waiting for inevitable fan montages. We're making one ourselves."

They did very well, to say the least.

What are your thoughts?

It frankly instantly became my favorite Season 3 song. It was catchy and the montage was equally fun!

First it was stuck in my head, now it is everywhere! I cant escape it! AAAA

No but really, It was probably the greatest song thus far, next to the Failure song (just because I can relate to that one :P)

Definitely at the heights of my playlists. Great musical work

Wow, clearly I was just among the black sheep this morning when I saw several people disliking it after the song was released. Lots of love for it in this thread. Good to see ^^

It reminds me of Scooby-Doo chase scenes. I liked it.

This is probably one of my favorite My Little Pony Friendship is Magic songs. I kind of liked winter wrap up better though.

This is my favorite song in the series so far.

I really like the Bad Seed song too.

My boyfriend commented in the middle of it and said that it seemed different from all of the other songs in the show. The montage makes it that way. It played a similar role to the Crystal Fair Song, but the Crystal Fair Song didn't have any kind of background like Bad Seed song does. I think that Bad Seed may be the first song in the show to have a montage that is more repetitive and that doesn't take place in their real world but rather in a music video world, know what I mean?

My favorite part was towards the end where the CMC are running at the peeling seeds part, and then Babs pours water on them, and then the CMC come in that same scene only with wet manes, and then Babs shakes the apple tree and the CMC run in for a 3rd time but with apples getting in their way. I thought that was really clever.

The

and Bad Seed are definitely my two favourites from season 3 so far . . . though we're not that far into the season. Hopefully there will be more gems like these to come. (Haha. Crystal Ponies . . . gems.)

Honestly, best song of Season 3 for me so far, and my new favorite CMC song. It was far more of a balanced and complete ensemble than "Looking For That Special Somepony" in "Hearts and Hooves Day" was (because let's be honest, Sweetie Belle dominated that song). Also, the visual direction and editing were quite impressive, and really encourage the audience to get into the song and bop or sing along, especially some of the little stuff, like all three of the CMC bopping their heads at the beginning of the song (visually, that was honestly my favorite part of the song, it was just so... animated, for lack of a better term!!! :D ). Finally, the melody itself... HOLY CRAP, this song! THIS SONG was un-freakin'-believably-bucking catchy!!! If it weren't so early in the season (and also for the fact that this was a CMC song, and not one of the Mane 6's songs) I'd be willing to bet good money that this would be this season's "Winter Wrap Up" or "Smile, Smile, Smile" solely based on the beat alone, but again, I don't think it'll happen, for the aforementioned reasons, along with the fact that Daniel Ingram apparently just keeps getting better and better as each season passes by! Keep up the wonderful work Mr. Ingram, you are amazing!!!!!!!!!!! B)

Best part of the episode for me, has very late 80's/early 90's vibe to it. Don't know if I'd consider it for best song, but it certainly is a very catchy tune I'll give it that.

That, I don't really go for this kind of song, but that's one of the thing FiM is very good at: making meh things awesome. Definitely the best song this season, mostly because it fits the episode perfectly (unlike failure/success).

Also liked the fact that they went to such length to avoid conflict.

I'm surprised no one's mentioned anything about Scootaloo actually carrying a tune this time around . . .

Anyway, if anyone's interested, there's a Mando Pony/Living Tombstone

of this song already.

Someone in the comments for the Bad Seed song asked if people think that Babs is more intimidating than King Sombra. Interesting. . .

It's infectious. I can't get it out of my head! Not that I really mind though, it's a great song, and as previously said by pretty much everypony, the montage was amazing.
