If one thing has been made clear to me some people are still upset about this whole situation including myself, but not the extent that it was when this whole thing first went down. To me. Derpy represents the little things in this show that much better than every other cartoon out there.

In all seriousness though, it is a really dumb idea for Hasbro to remove Derpy, but I think it's going to be worse if they leave her in and un-Derpy her :/

Maybe they could leave her in, but always show her behind something so we dont see her face again, if they're really that concerned about the public minority.

Derpy has actually made an appearance in season 3.

Probably the most minor and "where's wally" type appearance of anything ever, so much so that I dont think she even saw herself there.

you know i used to feel sad about this but now all it does is make me reflect on all the death threat and hate i got from Bronie for complaining about the use of the word Derpy ( which is slang for stupid) and now i no long care i find with her being take out of the show and it you'r own fault for coming up for a name of a pony that has lazy eye that meant stupid, are you even aware that having lazy eyes or wall eye doesn't make you handicapped or mentally challenged and yet Bronies always go to that as there defense.

I heard about the death threats and those serve no purpose, the only thing it serve was to give a bad name to the brony fandom. The actions of a few can give a bad name to the rest who are just there to support the show no matter what. I love derpy but i think the message this time has to be a positive one. After Derpygate, I hope they're still willing to listen to us.

They love derpy just like we do, but they are in a much different position then we are, and thus we need to be understanding of there view point as well as trying to let them know ours.

I never heard anything about those? o.O Mind...I am out of the loop when it comes to this kinda thing. I normally just sit quietly in the corner like that one awkward relative at a christmas party.

 

Overall though the message i'm getting from this thread is "A few of the bronies who give us a bad name went off on a paddy at the people who took Derpy out the show, now we're all bucked because of some immature little foals."

 

To which people seem to be replying generally with - "Maybe if we give *name of company responsible* a logical and thought out - POLITE - reason to keep Derpy in the show, they may consider it"

Tell me, were you around during the Derpy incident? If you weren't, what basically happened was that after we found out they censored Derpy, the save Derpy petition happened.

 

What happened afterwards was that instead of trying to compromise, it became a war between the people who liked Derpy, and the people who didn't, getting nothing done and showing bronies at their lowest point.

I think the death threats came from the edited version of "The last roundup" in which they changed her voice and eyes. I could be wrong on this because i'm still catching up to this whole thing. I also don't want to shove this whole notion down their throats, all we can do is present our case to them and the rest is up to them.

Derpy is just like every other pony. The thing that strikes me about her the most is just how she just picks herself up and keeps going. She really has become a symbol of the brony community not only because it ties you all to hasbro, but she's shown everypony that it really is okay to be different. and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that.

Derpy has always been a tie between the bronies and hasbro. so i know changing her must have felt like they started to eat away at the ropes that ties everything together. I think the only way we're going to solve this is by somehow getting parents to see that there is absolutely nothing wrong with derpy.

This is really old news by now, people. Why do you keep bringing this up? What should be of more concern to you all is the current situation of "No Derpy in Season 3". People say she's been in there, but without seeing her eyes or her cutie mark, you can't confirm that it's actually her. Not that I care, I'm rather indifferent to Derpy, but if I was a fan, I would be more worried about the current problem than this ancient history.
