Vote against the voting-for-battle system: It'd take too long to read up on everypony, and some posts just can't seem to get brohoofed by anyone. Plus, kinda seems against the spirit of things.

I agree with that 100%. Roleplay fights shouldn't be decided in the OOC, especially not through voting.

I'm a fan of running a few games at the same time and then the people who win move on. I mean, seriously, so many of us haven't played yet.

Novel idea, but if we're gonna do it via a voting system, why not let the two combatants post, then the post that gets the most brohoofs means that the attack hits, or if the dodge is successful. If the attack hits, then the attacker gets to initiate another attack, but if the attack is dodged, it'll cause the roles to reverse, I.e. the defender gets a chance to attack. I think this will also lead to more detailed and thought out posts.

Well yeah I like that idea better but the problem is it's real easy for someone to pick favorites. Like Spider-Man vs RD, I'd want Spider-Man to win because he's one of my favorite superheroes but most people would probably vote for Dash because this is a pony forum. Also we might be able to see where the fight is going especially if we go with the first idea of voting.

 

If anything the two combatants should just PM each other and decide that way.

In reference to OP Doctress: Note how even though she's gone beserk twice and unleashed a barrage of her strongest attacks, she hasn't even severely injuired Yusuke yet. Even completely beserker frenzy mode and firing nuclear bombs everywhere and spamming train portals, it's too close to call.

Anyway, do you think it was ridiculous of me to suggest that the Elder Wand would attempt to resist its unmaking? I had good reasoning for it in footnote 3.

 

[3] The Elder Wand is the single most powerful magical wand in existence, and would be likely to resist any attempts to unmake it. Wands are surely intelligent; After all, the wand chooses the wizard, and Harry's wand was self-aware enough to cast a spell Harry didn't recognise, emitting golden flames at Voldemort during the Battle Over Little Whinging at the beginning of the seventh book. The Elder Wand has before refused to obey the order it was given, killing the wielder instead of the target, which was its master. Personally, I believe it would take a physical effort to deny Dumbledore his wand. I could be wrong, however. I'll edit this post if the DM decides that this makes Dumbledore OP.

I did that! Y'know, I never expected to say that I pretended to be River Song attempting to kill Dumbledore and his wand. Huh.

At Koenma's request, I decided to withdraw the actually overpowered Doctress. For pete's sake, she was actually fooling around and managed to get the Angel to roll with it.

 

In OSLT proper, she'd probably just drop a relogic bomb and some sticky grenades and watch you get blown up. Considering people in OSLT regularly destroy entire universes and Mary Poppins can beat up Cthulhu and everybody else from H.P. Lovecraft, YES, overpowered.

 

Yusuke stood a fairly good chance by being far enough in adventure that he was at Dragonball-level power and if he was angry it'd be a fair battle, but if I'd played in-character the Doctress would have recognized the threat and portal cut him into slices before throwing a black hole at him if not a barrage of universe bombs and galaxy-destroying weapons. A narrator closet is effectively a TARDIS and a miniature universe, so yes, she actually would have that in there.

You are right. I am one of those who does not use Mugen. and secondly why are we trying to use a game to figure out who wins a game? this dosent need to be game-ception. we have had several games already completed without need for any additional deciders.

What's under the ice on Iceberg? Stone? Water? I'd prefer not to accidentally drown if I use a fire spell.

 

I was sort of hoping Dumbledore wouldn't be called in until at least tomorrow evening. Finals. Gah. I'll have difficulty participating until tomorrow evening, with study and projects and travel, but I can try.

 

And this is only his second round, by the way. He was just very talkative during the Spidey-Dashie match.
