When your character dies? Well let's just say that while you're out of the tournament, you aren't completely out of the RP.

i call sora from kingdom hearts! i love that game and would love to join this rp as him. if that is ok with you. if i am sora is there a limit to how many spells i can use? do i have to use a specific keyblade? can i use drive forms? are summons ok?

Drive forms are fine and you can pick whatever keyblade you want. I will have to say no on the summons though.

Currently trying to finalize my choice of series, but if I get in I'm in it to win it.

 

Touhou: Going to pick Cirno here, she's not overpowered. Might need some backstory research, but I'm pretty sure the powerset is solid.

 

Or Something Like That: Doctress or Meta Axis 6. Protagonists of the 2 largest branches, but the first's overpowered for sure and the second feeds on power and may eat the opponent alive Kirby-style... And actually digest them. If you need help finding the story, I'll link to it.

 

Yeah... I'd do Doc, but if you don't think a Pinkie-level 4th-wall-breaker would make sense (Or not annihilate the laws of physics using one of her major abilities and channel the resulting nonsense into a coherent beam of destruction), I'll gladly do Touhou.

 

The reason  I don't just pick Or Something Like That right now is because I'm the writer of that series.

 

So yeah. I'll ask your opinion: Can I or not? If not, then Touhou it is. If I can, Or Something Like That it is.

 

However, if we're doing dueling-style battles with all sorts of obscure fighting ettiquiete and rules, the spellcard system of Touhou means 'If you can't do an obscene amount of dodging, you're going to be hit a lot in one attack, and around 5-6 hits of thousands of bullets means you're out of second winds and die.'

 

In a no-holds-barred-anything-goes-just-die-beatdown, Or Something Like That is totally it.

I'm pretty sure all of the spells are fair game, if there's a particular spell you think is OP name it and I'll give it a look.

If you RP as Master Cheif you get to choose your Arsenal of 2 weapons (Dual weilding counts as one) before each fight. Edited December 2, 2012 by Half-Note

Well, she's basically a glass cannon to be honest. If you can get just a few hits or anything strong enough she's down for the count. Heck, she died once of being slapped too hard by a bandit. Then respawned, but I can't just kill my star protagonist in-story permanently.

 

In a gladiatorial tournament, that is another matter.

You aren't given Armor Abilities but you can choose a peice of equipment before each battle such as Grenades, Plasma Grenades, Bubble Shield or Healing field.

Mind if I join in? I'll be using Aragorn from Lord of the Rings.

 

Basic Information:

 

-He's a master swordsman, able to wield his blade in a multitude of styles and with one or two hands. 
-His armour is light and mobile, meaning faster reactions. 
-He wears an elven cloak, perfectly woven to fade into the background, providing superior stealth.
-His dagger, made by the elves can be wielded dual with his sword or even thrown. 
-He is a Ranger of Arnor, the deadliest in Middle Earth. They are swift, stealthy and beyond all else, lethal. 
-Aragorn is a superior archer, carrying a bow that is perfect for hunting and war. 
-He is the perfect wilderness survivor. He has lived in the wild for 80% of his entire life, living off what he hunted. 
-Aragorn is wise in the lore of plants and herbs, a skill he learned in the care from the elves. He can recognize what is poisonous to what is medicinal. 
-He is the King of Gondor, a noble line that gives him long life and natural skill.
