Wolf-Boy 54 December 11, 2012 Author Share December 11, 2012 Who could possibly hate the Great and Powerful Trixie? She's as hammy as they come and trills her "R's" like a pro. Seriously speaking, Trixie has always been the character I identified the most with. She's smart, spunky, confident verging on cocky, and a showman to the core. Yet, I'm always left thinking that she developed that persona as a defense to events that she's gone through. What could those events have been? We're not given even a single clue about them, so there's this huge gap in her past that we're free to fill up with our imaginations. Maybe I'm just reading too deeply into her, but still, she certainly makes for a character that sticks in my mind. I always bring this point up to my friends. They say they don't like her because "she's a self-centered bitch." I then ask them "Do you know her back story? " They always are a little confused and then resort back to their original argument that she is a bitch. I quite enjoy doing this. Jemboi 127 December 11, 2012 Share December 11, 2012 I think Trixie is cool but I like villains to begin with. I think she ultimately wants to be recognized and respected. She's not inherently evil.
Dark Qiviut 22,425 December 12, 2012 Share December 12, 2012 Never hated her when she starred in Boast Busters. Never hated her after Boast Busters. Never hated her in Magic Duel. Don't hate her now. Trixie is an absolutely fascinating character. Proud, boastful, arrogant, sensitive, smart, and passionate in what she does: a showmare. This antagonistic unicorn has the ability to tell stories and can make a living. As a nomad, she has to tell stories to make money, but after putting her hoof where her mouth is, her reputation got hit. After Magic Duel, she demonstrated some serious character development, gaining forgiveness, but never losing her pride. Her tripping and then standing back up to run off shows how she's grown into hopefully a better showmare than before. i like her as a villain, she was doing so well until that shift in her character development ruined it.the amulet corrupted her? how does that explain her behavior with out it on, note when she took it of there was 0 change and she still tried to kill RD When the Alicorn Amulet was on her, she was under control. But when she took it off, those powers of corruption were still controlling her mind. It was going to take some time for the Amulet's power to dispel and her conscience to regain her ability to see and think straight. Zygen 6,066 December 12, 2012 Share December 12, 2012 Eh, I actually sorta didn't like her after her first episode, but after the more recent one i've grown to like her a bit more. So i'm cool with her now. 1 Thanks to Gone Airbourne for the awesome sig! My Oc's, Ponysona, Bella Vocal Covers Blog, MLP Covers Thread
Lumen 106 December 12, 2012 Share December 12, 2012 I don't hate Trixie. I have always liked her. I can kinda understand why she acts the way she does. She's just misunderstood by some people. Moon Rat 4,772 December 12, 2012 Share December 12, 2012 I, honestly love Trixie, she really isn't as evil as people are making her out to be, she was just trying to put on a show HOWEVER, I did find it rather annoying how she boasted left and right, which led to her first downfall and her seeking revenge in Magic Duel however, she more than made up for her actions at the end of the show by admitting she was wrong and apologizing for her actions Thank you Nas for the sig :3 #HugWoona
Tall_But_Short_37 233 December 13, 2012 Share December 13, 2012 I, honestly love Trixie, she really isn't as evil as people are making her out to be, she was just trying to put on a show HOWEVER, I did find it rather annoying how she boasted left and right, which led to her first downfall and her seeking revenge in Magic Duel however, she more than made up for her actions at the end of the show by admitting she was wrong and apologizing for her actions But Trixie's boasting is essentially her entire character... Her apology even included boasting... I don't understand how you can love Trixie, but hate her boasting.
Cowl 128 December 16, 2012 Share December 16, 2012 Trixie makes a great villain, because she is basically an "evilish" version of twilight. There aren't any other characters that allow for twilights magic to be a main component of the episode. Also she has a great wardrobe: Cape, wizard hat, and a cloak with a cowl (see avatar) It just doesn't get any better than that. 1 And to all things comes an end. We are no more than pages in a book. Turn the page, and thousands die. And for what? For the greed of two powerful leaders. Turn the page and floods, earthquakes and volcanoes are destroying the world. It is a time for acts of despair and of bravery as well. Another turn of the page and countless refugees flee. Is this the end of the story? No. There are countless pages to turn. And to all things comes a beginning!
Galex Dj 173 December 16, 2012 Share December 16, 2012 I don't hate her, I just dislike her a bit. I know she has done a lot of bad things in the past episodes, but sometimes you just need to forgive and forget the past. Rainbow Eclipse 3,927 September 26, 2013 Share September 26, 2013 (edited) Well, I don't exactly hate her, but she did force Twilight out of town and remove Pinkie's mouth without restoring it. Twilight did that, but still... (Why didn't she do that earlier anyway?) I certainly don't like her, but I'll never say I hate her. ChapelGlass 79 September 26, 2013 Share September 26, 2013 I like her! A nice design, a boastful and rude personality, she makes for a fun antagonist. I'm not too sure how to feel about her after her last appearance, but I still think she's a fun character in her own way.
Misty Shadow 7,900 September 26, 2013 Share September 26, 2013 Most of the bronies I know actually really like Trixie. While I am still not a huge fan of her, I don't see any reason to hate her. She has her moments of being awesome. https://www.deviantart.com/frank3dz/art/A-day-to-remember-1140892930 (seriously guys, read this comic, it's hilarious)
Dr. Eggnog 203 September 26, 2013 Share September 26, 2013 I didn't like her in Boast Busters and didn't really want to see another Trixie episode, but by the end of Magic Duel she had grown on me. It's nice that she can learn from her mistakes, but they still keep her endearingly flawed. I love you.

Silver Letter 1,832 September 26, 2013 Share September 26, 2013 (edited) I don't like Trixie after Boast Busters. I liked her in the first episode because of her nature. She lends something interesting like an emotional and intellectual opposite of Twilight but in Magic Duel, Trixie is just evil and I hate that she was able to get away with what she had done. It's not like the first time and I don't feel that she was blameless for using the amulet. I think Twilight should have used the Elements with her friends to turn her into stone. Because for all they know, she'll be back to wreck havoc again. They could and probably should have put her next to Discord. EDIT: I also sort of see her as a pseudo major villain because she wanted to take over Equestria. But she didn't get the chance so she really only desired to do so, but there was some need for a serious response from the Elements in my opinion. Sure she did start some crap with the mane 6, many do but come on now. As for those of who you do hate her, well I'm sorry you could bring you're self to hate a wonderful pony.. 1 "Does not matter what they say, my sweet love! Valynne 2,664 September 26, 2013 Share September 26, 2013 i not hate her, but the opposite, she only had the reputation of being powerful, there's nothing wrong about dreaming, that was everything for her, and what happen when somepony has taken the only dream that make her feel important? she felt lonely and empty and no pony wasn't there to help her, she have been forced to work on a rock farm because i guess she was poor and was starving, and doing magic to entertain ponies was the only way she like to earn some money. Okay she used the Alicorn amulet to enhance her powers but in the end the amulet possesed her and become some evil pony but once again the mane six destroy the amulet and poor Trixie feels beaten once again I feel sorry for her, she deserves her own episode Please check my GIF shop! https://mlpforums.com/topic/199911-open-rethajnis-ych-comission-shop/#comment-6247435
Guest September 26, 2013 Share September 26, 2013 Im gonna go out on a limb here and say, that Trixie is one of the most human-ponies there are, as far as character goes.I really love her design and think, that the only reason not so many people like here is, that she was presented in a fairly antagonist-clichèe way.I wish for more canon backstory of her and a comeback as an antagonist. But this time with a better presentation.
Aisling Ink 195 September 26, 2013 Share September 26, 2013 I think Trixie has got her own charm. Is not really a character you are supposed to love but once you acknowledge her personality I think is really hard to hate her. Wandering-Flare 71 September 26, 2013 Share September 26, 2013 I don't hate HER, I hate her arrogance. I know that even the mane six have some elements of arrogance too, particularly Dash, but it doesn't affect me like Trixie's does. If she spent a little less time trying to be better than everybody else, I may feel less inclined to sneer whenever she states something about magic. That being said, she was a LOT better in The Magic Duel, and I liked her there; her magic had truly progressed, even if it was only because of the amulet. I found her to be rather comical, but also a character who knew exactly what she wanted. Given the ambiguity of some characters, like the Cutie Mark Crusaders, for example, some CLEAR definition was nice. I liked how she had a good idea of what she wanted to achieve too. All in all, I have to say I like her now; I wasn't keen on her before, (but I personally found Boast Busters to be a bad episode anyhow) but she grew on me, inevitably, it seems. CT-1138 3,182 September 26, 2013 Share September 26, 2013 (edited) I don't hate her, but her elitist egotism grates on my nerves. I mean, yeah, Rainbow Dash is a boaster, but Trixie is all "Everpony pay attention to me and nopony else!
