Does anyone have any movie(s) that just keep a certain place in your heart that you will always remember for the rest of your life?
I have about 3 of em
My list:
1. Milo & Otis-my favorite movie ever scince I was little I can say that everypony could show their child this movie.
2. Aristocats-Everybody wants to be a cat!
3. Pokemon 2000-One of the most memorable movie of the pokemon besides the one with lugia. Sad that they are taking Ash away next season ;-(
4. Toy Story-Just one lovely movie that I always had on-hand on my videocassette.
5. Chicken Run-took me awhile to completely understand but ya know what it was just one of those movies.

Now I would like to find out about the movies that just make you feel good when you watch it after such a long time.

One of my most memorable movies would have to be Men in Black 3.

That movie actually made me cry, dat ending :(

The next one would have to be the first Men in Black, mostly because of the awesome line they had when Agent J was first getting enlisted into the MiB

Another one I find pretty memorable would have to be convoy

Yes, I said Convoy

As old as that movie is it was still really good

That's all I have for now, I'll be checking back when I can remember some more

Starship Troopers. The first one. Its what inspired me to write war based stories and songs.

How to train your Dragon. The part where the main protagonist's dad said "I'm proud of you, son." makes me tear up because I've never head my dad say that to me and I'd like to pretend that I'm him. xD

Lord of the Rings. Actually, Rhapsody of fire was the first one to have opened me to the world of Fantasy. I loved their albums so much. The story was too epic. Like there was a film in your head about dragons, swords, wizards and all that kind of stuff. When lord of the rings came out, It looks almost exactly what I had imagined from Rhapsody of Fire's songs.

Disney Classics. Do I have to explain?

School of Rock. It told me to break away from an oppressive system, man. *makes peace symbol*

Brother Bear. I remember tearing up the first time I saw that movie...and I've never watched it since, even though I know nowadays I would love it.

Up.

Holy nutballs, did I cry at that movie so much. Many manly tears were shed in the viewing of that movie.Though I think I cried the most when Carl was reading through the photo album he made with his wife, and it showed all those pictures of them married and everything...

Oh dear,I think I'm tearing up now. :(

EDIT: Forgot the honorable mentions.

Kickass - Freakin' amazing superhero movie with a good message that anybody can be a hero - if they got the balls.

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World - A very nice movie and comic series with a twist on the generic "boy meets girl" love story that's been done to death.

Dr.Horrible's Sing-Along Blog - While not a movie released in theaters, anything with Neil Patrick Harris and singing is good.Plus,I like how they made the superhero a complete dick and made the villian the nicer guy.

I agree entirely with pokemon 2000. I watched it again a couple days ago on the good old reliable VCR and it was actually pretty enjoyable. The scene at the end with Lugia's Song playing in the background is just as epic as it was in the theatre 12 years ago.

"Disturb not the harmony of fire, ice or lightning, lest these titans wreak destruction upon the world in which they clash. Though the water's great guardian will arise to quell the fighting, alone its song will fail, and thus the Earth shall turn to ash."

Pretty awesome for a movie based on a kid's show if you ask me.

OH CRAP, I forgot about Starship Troopers and the Lord of the Rings trilogy

Those were some of the best movies I have ever seen :3

I especially loved the Lord of the Rings,

The world looked so majestic and the creatures were pretty awesome too

The storyline was pretty good too

Toy Story - I remember watching this film 100 times over when I was little, even now I think its a superb film and I still have my Buzz Lightyear action figure somewhere.

Shaun of the Dead - Fantastic film to watch with a few mates and great to liven up the mood. Probably the best comedy film of all time!

All of the Harry Potters - The books were a huge part of my childhood and the films extended that on to my teen years.

The Bucket List - Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson in a simply great story. Just Brilliant.

Well... if anime movies are approved then Toward the Terra (not the series but the 1980 movie version) is definitively one that has special place in my heart. Such great moments in that movie. It shows quite nicely one of the nastiest possible futures we might face some day if we're not careful. I won't go into more details here, but it's definitively worth watching. ... And for those who HAVE seen the 2007 anime series version, I can safely say to you that the movie isn't mostly the same so it's still worth watching. I highly recommend it.

Lord of the Rings. There are very few movies that you can watch and slowly feel like you're being taken into that world. By the end you feel connected to Middle Earth. There is nothing close to how happy I get when I watch Lord of the Rings, just everything about it.

Movies that I remember fondly are National Lampoons Vegas vacation and Down Periscope. I have a deep appreciation for old comedy movies that I grew up with.

Beauty and The Beast, I loved that movie growing up and it continues to be a favorite forever, I rewatch it at least once a month

The movie Secretary (no not the horse movie, this has Maggie Gyllenhal in it and is an indie release also not for the kiddos). It is the first present my boyfriend ever got me and I always cry and get all mushy during the part where she stays sitting at her lover's desk for days on end to prove her love. So romantic,.well at least to me and my boyfriend but we are a bit different

Castle in the Sky: Hands down my favourite film. It'll make you laugh or cry every two minutes. It has a lot of sentimental value for me. Best Ghibli film.

A Streetcar Called Desire: IMPOSSIBLE not to love Marlon Brando. He transformed in that film. Crazy, crazy good actor.

Moonrise Kingdom: At first I wasn't sure what to think, but as it went on I really fell for the characters. Plus that one beautiful line Suzy has when she meets Sam for the first time-"Maybe I just got angry with myself." The context she uses it in made me wanna cry, but I can really relate to her. Bill Murray and Bruce Willis were out of their norm and nailed it.

Shake Hands With The Devil: Cry. Every. Time. The book is good too. It's awful at the same time since it's based on Romeo Dallaire's experience in the Rwandan genocide and some of the footage...it makes you think.

La Vita E Bella: If you haven't watched this, please do as soon as possible. It really hits home how terrible the Holocaust but somehow really humanizes the whole thing. Probably the only Holocaust film you'll laugh at-the first half is in facist Italy and the second in a concentration camp.

I got lost on what was happening the first couple of times watching it, but after all this time. I've still got that soft spot for, The Iron Giant and c'mon. What kid wouldn't want a giant robot friend? that'd awesome.

Since I watch at least 7 movies per week, I've seen a lot of movies so it's hard to write my favorites down.

But Armageddon is one of the most amazing movies I've ever seen. It's not very realistic but damn it's good. I cry everytime at the end.

And the soundtrack I Don't Want To Miss A Thing is actually me and my partners song which makes the movie even more special

Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland is good too, dark and cozy. His movies are awesome anyway.

It's a movie I always will love.

The Lord of the Rings-movies are fantastic. I can't even explain it.

The Green Mile is a really good movie. The only type of Drama I like. It's also a movie where I always cry at the ending.

Up is very, very good. The beginning is so sad! I always cry when I see it. The movie is so good. It's both fun and sad at the same time though :c

Toy Story 3, Alpha and Omega, Brave, Forest Gump (I forgot if that's the name or not), We Were Soldiers, Band of Brothers (series).

I could think of way more, but these are the ones I could think of on the spot. I honestly love these movies. I could watch them over and over again.

The Grinch is a movie for Christmas time that me and my family ALWAYS watch. Basically every time at around Christmas. So it has a special place in my heart for sure.

Toy story is also a pretty memorable movie.

Hm.. I can't really think of anything else.. Yeah i remember pokemon 2000, but It wasn't something that necessarily had a huge place in my heart or anything.

To be fair I don't watch a whole lotta movies that much. Idk why I can't go on movie marathons really ;P.(I don't think i could watch more then 1 movie a day, simply because I couldn't sit around watching something that long probably....)
