Humanized ponies in 3D

I made some of the hair and clothing myself using Sims 2 Bodyshop and GIMP, but my texture-editing skills have gotten fairly rusty since I ragequit the Sims community. I ended up throwing away the hair I made for RD and just gave her a Maxis hairdo.

I made some new SimPonies in Sims 3. I have to say they look much better.

 

 

Let's face it, who DOESN'T picture Twilight in a skirt and sweater vest? This is actually how I pictured her when I wrote my humanized fanfic.

 

 

The height of fashion. That's our Rarity.

 

 

I figured since Dashie finally got to join the Wonderbolts, I'd put her in something that at least resembled a Wonderbolts uniform.

 

 

It took me AGES to get Pinkie's outfit right, but I think the one I finally picked works for her.

 

 

Since the advent of fairies in Sims 3 Supernatural, I figured it was only too appropriate to give the pegasus SimPonies wings.

 

 

During the whole time I was making Applejack, I had two songs repeating in my head: "American Girl" by Trisha Yearwood when I was sculpting the Sim and "Black Velvet" by Alannah Miles when I was picking out her wardrobe.

I was wondering why there hasn't been a Sims MLP thread yet. I've seen a few things on youtube but very little really done with the combination of the 2. I used to play and mod the Sims 2 a lot so that's what I'm most accustomed to.A lot of cool things could be done with Sims characters.

Dude, they're kinda scaring me, especially the Rainbow Dash one. :C

And Twilight is a bit too dark, I think she has more of an olive complexion. And Pinkie with glasses??

Freewave's own look more accurate.

Except their smiles are freaking me out.

Freewave: that first video was excellent. What I really want to do now is make Ponyville in Create A World and them make a machinima version of the first season.

Oh wow, Sims is just creepy... No Offence to your models of course They don't remind me much of the ponies, especially the first 6 bunch... That again, Sims wasn't made for this kind of thing.

These are very nice! I like them a lot! My friend is obsessed with sims and I am going to see if she will make some like this! The are cool! My favorite is Twilight!

To me, Twilight isn't as dark as that. Maybe tanned. I see Applejack quite tanned as well. You can kinda tell that you gave up on these ones... As for Freewave's sources, the last 4 or five are pretty cool! I especially love the third from the bottom with Dashie and Fluttershy, they look really awesome.

Eh, some of the ones Freewave posted are good, but some of them look a bit samey to me. I wanted to avoid that as much as possible.

I made Twilight Indian because I feel that she's pretty much the pony version of the 'Asian And Nerdy' trope. Besides, they don't all have to be white, do they? This is why I don't want to discuss skin colour.

 

 Concord: They're only creepy if you don't sculpt and colour them properly. Back when the Sims 3 base game first came out, Sims looked like pudding. The game engine has since improved and now they look a bit more human. I understand how some people might be creeped out by that though. Uncanny valley and whatnot.
