I'll have to get back to ya. It'd have to be something the defines me, my faves etc yet also has to be something ascending and retaliating in the energy department. All in all it'd have to be a medley (a song made of parts of many songs). Otherwise a mashup of r.e.m;s end of the world and a drinking song as I'll be kicking back wherever I am drinking, lighting and laughing my bumm off as people run to try saving themselves futilely

I thought about something far heavier and more metal, but a classic just fit the bill.

 

 

I lean back in the rocking chair on my porch. It's been two weeks since I watched mushroom clouds form over distant cities. Thank goodness I live out in the boonies, or I'd have been done for. The chorus of the song hits as I sip on my glass of Macallan. I follow with a long drag from my cigarette. The thick smoke plumes around me as I tap the forward-assist on my Noveske AR-15. It's been long enough that the radiation levels are no longer fatal. Tomorrow, I have to go see what's left down there.

Mendle by Mr. Fox.  Psychedelic electric folk music from the early seventies.  It's really quite beautiful and unique, and fits the end of the world theme real well.  If the world were truly ending, I know that I'd be sitting down with my eyes closed.  I'd just try to be calm before the world ends.  And I think that this song captures those feelings.

If this song is playing, all other activities will be accompanied by headbanging. What I would be doing depends on the cause of the end of the world. If an unnamed, powerful, extremely warlike nation in possession of many nuclear weapons decided to be *insert bad words here*, I would lament the needless destruction wrought by said nation, but be content knowing that earth would bounce back (minus the insane monkeys). In the event of some major catastrophe, I would relax  and reflect and let it all burn down.
