music Skrillex or deadmau5?

Bump.

 

Adding on to my opinion, I just wish Skrillex would experiment more and drift away from Dubstep. I understand he's a Dubstep artist, but when you do the same type of thing over and over again, it gets repetitive, and almost redundant even.

 

Skrillex does have some good melodies, I just wish they didn't have to have Dubstep. For example, the intro to "Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites" I found amazing, but then the Dustep part just ruined it for me.

 

I think the main reason people don't like Deadmau5 I because he is mainly a Progressive House artist. His long buildups take some getting used to. But once you do, it's awesome.

 

Pretty much this, though the bigger problem to me, is not from how Skrillex's songs sound the same, my problem with him is that he takes hard hitting electronic music too far, in almost every single Skrillex song he throws everything at you at once and it really makes the songs feel awkward and obnoxious to listen to. His build ups are terrible, if he even has any. They always are too short and when his songs get into the bass drop they feel so sudden that it's just hard to listen to. Though I can understand why someone would like Skrillex because of how hard hitting he is compared to other electronic artists, now can we cut out the stupidest comparisons ever, I can understand something like Pendulum Vs. The Prodigy, but this is just stupid.

loljk I haven't actually heard much of anything from either so I wouldn't know anything by them. It's a whole area of electronic music that I've yet to listen to. I tend to listen to Trance and Hardstyle most.

Like everypony else is saying, they are completely different. It really depends on my mood and what I feel like listening to when it comes to which one i prefer to listen to. I guess Skrillex's music is more "exciting" in my opinion, it's very high energy compared to Deadmau5.

I personally like both of them, but if I had to choose one I would probably say that Skrillex is better.  Nothing against Deadmau5, or House music in general but I like the thrill ride of a good Dubstep artist more.  I actually like both artists almost exactly equally.  Although there aren't many there are artists in both genres who are better than those two, but not by much.  Anyways that's all I got for now.  I have put my favorite song from both of them below.  Enjoy and thanks for reading my reply.

I like some of Skrillex's songs but there are better artists out there.

And I only like a few of Deadau5's song's.

 

 

On a random note...I think the Blue Man Group can probably give them both a run for their money  

 

Silly me thinking that Deadmau5 was meh...I wish I could go back in time and poke myself in the face with an almond (Don't ask why I chose an almond...because I don't really know)

I'm not really a big fan of Dubstep (but I dont hate it by any means though), and I do have some love for the house music genre,

so I have to say I prefer Deadmau5 over Skrillex.
