 ^ Not at all! I actually love coming on here and finding that I've been tagged to a picture.  Honestly? It's become something that I've admittedly begun to even look forward to. I'm a huge fan of art, and especially of those two things! So by all means: Keep at it! If you'd like, of course.

Since Gauntlet of fire I've always been wondered: is Twilight a swimmer? Why I'm asking this? Well, as we've seen in that episode, Spike is an EXTRAORDINARY swimmer since... he saved a dragon who's double his size and was also wearing an armor from drowning without many difficulties. 

However, Spike is really young, he might be just 8-9 years old (while the Mane 6 are about 20-21 years old), I highly doubt he has learned to swim this well by his own, so if someone has thaught him to swim this well, the only one who has always been by his side since he's born is Twilight. She might be a good swimmer as well, if my reasoning is good. Yet again, Spike is also a good ice skater (as we've seen in Tanks for the Memories) while Twilight in Winter Wrap Up was an utterly disaster, but between those two episodes a lot of time passed, so I guess he learned that since he started to live in Ponyville (maybe with the help of Pie). What do you think guys?

Good observation. I think Spike could have learned to swim from either Pinkie Pie or Rainbow Dash. 

Can Twilight swim? Well, how did Twilight and Rarity manage to carry that rock disguise all the way across the sea to the island? They either teleported, used the rock as a boat, or they could swim.

Uuuuhhhh I think you should rewatch the episode. They NEVER took that rock disguis with them on the island, they crossed the ocean by swimming and covering themself with seawidth (and then they created another disguise with some woods and afterward used another rock disguise different from the one seen before). I think they created the disguised on the moment anyway. 

 

I don't think he was thaught to swim so well by RD or Pinkie anyway thought (I mean, he might have learned to skate for fun after seeing Pinkie doing that, but why would he want to ask Pinkie or RD to learn to swim?). If he learned to swim that well, I think he did way before the events of the pilot, when he and Twilight were younger.

Points taken. Since it's now known that Twilight Sparkle and Rarity can swim, there's no reason to doubt that Spike learned how to swim from Twilight.
