The funny thing is, I used to hate Applejack.   After I became her VA for an abridged series, I began to watch her closely so I could learn more about her.   After a while, I realized something.

Just saw the comic dub videos on "The Core of the Apple"  Pretty good fanfic.  The only real complaints

1)this shows AJ with her cutie mark, meaning it takes place after episode 23 The Cutie Mark Chronicles & I always felt #23 was after her parents death.  She left, in part, because she couldn't stand being there & remembering it.  & That is why they weren't there to see her off.

SPOILER ALERT

2) I'd of thought AJ would put up more of an argument.  Sure, that bridge was a death trap, due to fall but her parents wouldn't have been there if she hadn't been with them & Rarity wouldn't have been there if AJ hadn't picked a fight with her.  So, if you want to look at it that way, she WAS responsible for her parents death (No, I don't believe that, she ain't psychic & couldn't have known.  But, she felt that way)

Also, it says continued in part 5 & I can only find the 1st 4 parts.  God bless the good folks at YouTube for hiding it so well.

actually, this is a series that was made on Deviant, the YT voiced version came much later

 

the reason you're not finding a 5th part is because there isn't one...yet

Dear friends, what would AJ be like if she were Eowyn? Her blonde mane and her fighting capability could make her a good candidate!

 

Just imagine, what lines do you think she'll say?

 

I'm not sure about lines, but I'm sure Grima wouldn't have anywhere near the amount of say over her if AJ was Eowyn. :comeatus:
