Back onto rare. Her attempt at creating a rock chapeau kinda failed hard. Anyone know why they seem to be turning rare into a villain (or at least making her look like one from sweeties pov) in the next episode?

I hope that is just Sweetie imagining what Rarity would do to her if she found out that she destroyed that dress. I really hope that they don't let Rarity explode on Sweetie belle, she does not really need more stupid reasons for people to hate her.

 

And even if it would be completely reasonable for Rarity to be mad at Sweetie, people would still blame Rares. Has always been like that.

 

I hope that Sweetie destroys that dress and runs away, thinking that Rarity would be super mad at her. Sweets would just hide without Rares confronting her. Rarity would be mad at first, as she should be for something like that, but then she would quickly grow concerned and search for Sweetie.

Sweetie would not come out of hiding and sleep in her hideout. Then Luna would talk her into going to Rares and confessing what she did.

Rares would still be slightly pissed, but more because she was worrying so much about Belles wellbeing. She would explain that her sister is more important than that dress. And Sweety would explain what she learned. CREDITS ROLL!

 

But we all know that won't be happening and Rarity will be the bitch again.  :okiedokielokie:

Yeahh, I'd be lying if I were to say I'm not a bit worried myself; hell, I'm honestly flat out scared and I don't want Saturday to roll around for at least another week

 

I hate defending Rarity, honestly; I don't want to defend my best pony, I want to enjoy her, just as I'm sure you do.

 

Unfortunately, people make that harder than it should be, whether they realize that or not. Can't fix stupid change people, though, so the best we can do is to throw everything we have at the people spouting off that unnecessary hatred whenever it pops up. I, personally, while defending Rarity, don't look at the person's name, avatar, signature, or anything; just flies to be swatted, or people who clearly have no idea what they're talking about and who's opinions simply don't deserve my respect or honestly my time, if you want my take on it, but I give it to them anyway just because I'm not going to let someone talk about the pony I've grown to love just as I would a family member or a friend; letting someone talk shit about Rarity would be no different to me than letting someone talk shit about my best friend or my family.

 

Eh. I'm worried and scared to see what will happen, honestly, just as much as you are.

 

But I'm ready for Saturday, regardless; I still have hope that my waifu and her little sister are going to pull through and have a good episode I dunno about faith, but I have this little ball of hope I'm holding onto, and that's keeping me sane

I read a few of the comics for the Rarity that was in them

 

I really liked the one where she went to that hippie spa, but NMR wasn't really something I could get into.

 

Badass character design, though, I will say

That episode had nearly every character OOC, though  

 

Dunno why I expected any different, Powell wrote it.   

 

But yeahh. Those looked like Table Cloths that an 85-year old widow would use.   

 

I dunno what Powell was thinking; honestly, Rarity and every other character was so OOC I have trouble counting that episode as canon. I can't even blame Rarity or any of them; Powell's fault. Plain and simple. The ponies wouldn't fuck up that badly

I think that was slightly better since it was thematically alright as a full ensemble. If you're going to do something dumb, go all the way. Because everything looks gaudy and tacky it's a little easier to bear witness to. When a single piece on a person looks stupid, it's more jarring and thus becomes even worse. In my opinion.

She shouldn't write for the show if she can't write any of it's characters in consistency with the other writers' portrayals of them.

 

Seriously, I want her to get fired. It sounds harsh, but it's true.

 

Rarity would NEVER make something like that.

 

She has taste, and she's creative and knows design.

 

Honestly. Powell should just quit. That's so OOC of her to make those that I can't even fault Rarity, just the writer of that episode.

The other ponies were IN character, I don't understand about what do you refer as OOC. My only serious complain with the episode was Spitfire but that's another thing.

That's certainly a unique take on things, but I really don't like getting in SD arguments in the fan club

 

I dunno, I mean, the #1 complaint about Rainbow Falls seemed to be how everyone was OOC, and I can see why; Rarity, Spitfire, Applejack, that other Wonderbolt, and (apparantly) RD were all written wayyy out of their element.

 

Of course, a lot of it is probably just Mare Do Well complex: butthurt fans because their best pony looked bad.

 

I don't think it was the worst episode this season (Flight to the Finish SUCKED.) but it certainly wasn't something I'd watch twice

 

That's all I have to say on that matter.

Suited for Success and Rarity Takes Manehattan are her best, in my opinion, but Sisterhooves Social, Look Before You Sleep, Sweet & Elite, and a Dog & Pony Show are all pretty fucking great

 

Of course, you probably like Green Isn't Your Color a lot, eh? I like that one quite a bit, myself.

 

Then, Simple Ways is one I actually enjoyed a lot, but it's safe to say that that one is pretty great, too

 

Only time will tell about From Whom the Sweetie Belle Toils, though
