Does it bother anyone else how few in the MLP universe seem to find Rarity as beautiful as we do? In several episodes you see characters that dismiss her and go for someone else, and it has always irked me. Now, I get that it's for the sake of plot such as when Photo Finish chose Fluttershy or Trenderhoof choose Applejack, but you'd think there'd be SOMEpony that would be all into Rarity! True, I am sure they don't want to go there for it being to "stereotypical" but it still bugs me none the less.

 

I think it more has to do with that being a plot that's a bit beyond the focused age group. They see that Rarity has many friends, and that makes her happy. No need to make some onetime character fawn over her just because, or to make a secondary/background character suddenly become infatuated with her. They already have Spike who is crushing over her, bending backwards plenty of times because he thinks she's beautiful. With him being a baby dragon though it adds humor, rather than it being a pony that could come across as just stereotypical boy wants pretty girl.

What i really DON'T like is when fan fiction authors portray Rares like she is only beautiful with her makeup and styled mane. I read often things like: "Raritys beauty is artifical, Fluttershy has natural beauty." Stuff like that makes me way more grumpy than it should...

 

It is canon that Rares is the most beautiful mare in Ponyville, in my headcanon she is the most beautiful mare in Equestria.

I like to imagine that she would be the closest thing to pure, true pony beauty. Makes it all the more amazing that she shares it so freely with the rest of Equestria... and is willing to give her gorgeous work away even if she just could hoard it for herself.

Hi guys. I don't normally post in here because I consider Twilight Sparkle better and all that other stuff, but I got a message from ghostie.

 

 

Hi, guys. I'm going to be away for a couple of days on personal business. I just want you all not to worry about me, I should be back around Friday night. I have lots of fun stuff for us planned when I get back I can't wait to see you all then, but you won't be seeing me for a couple of days. Don't worry about me, though; I'll be fine. If someone bashes Rarity while I'm away,  be sure to remain calm and to throw facts from the show at them, because we all know she's so much better than they say Anyway,  I'll see you all soon, and I'll be thinking about the wonderful people in this thread while I'm gone.
