So I'm catching up on my earlier gens during the off season, and I can't help but think of Miss Rarity and specifically this club as I do so... As anyone who's watched the older shows has probably noticed; they love changing the lyrics to the theme song... It tends to be "My Little Pony, My little Pony" whatever fits with the show... I've caught myself changing them up and wanted to share one with you sung to the G1 Theme...

People criticize manehattan for pacing issues, because Fashion Week takes a week and they were only there for a few days.

 

But that misses the point, Rarity was submitting her designs for Fashion Week which was upcoming, so only having a few days to submit these designs (as they would want them in advance) makes sense.

 

Do you guys see what I'm saying, I realize I'm putting it rather obtusely.

Echhh. The thing is, that's an abnormally stupid criticism - while I'm all for analyzing, having the events of RTM spread across a week would really damage both the quality and the pacing of the episode. It'd be much harder to transition from day to day to day with a sense of quality inside of the 22 minute time frame, as well as it'd be forced in the sense that they were cramming the events of 2 days into 7 days.

 

Furthermore, fashion week in real life showcases different designers daily - we're not seeing the same ones over and over again, it's a time slot they get, and the best are booked towards the end and the relatively newer, lesser known designers at the beginning. It isn't the same designers across the 7 day time period, you'll see ensembles from different designers every day during fashion week.

 

What I'm saying is, spreading the events of that episodes across a 7 day time frame would be unrealistic AND affect the quality of the writing, so whoever said that obviously has no clue what they're saying.
