I seem to be one of exceedingly few fans of Sparity.

 

Ohai you!

 

While I don't ship them myself, one moment stands out above all others as my favorite of the series and it involved both Spike and Rarity, and must have made the Sparity fans absolutely go nuts when the episode originally aired. I remember this was about the time during my personal marathon last April when I started to pay attention more and more to Rarity. She hadn't yet reached that pinancle of my favorite yet ... but I can't deny this scene made me take notice. I love it so much that I made sure to jump on eq.tv last weekend when this episode aired. 

 

Instead of posting the scene I'll go with some fan art inspired around it. 

 

 

Without dialog, that simple scene allowed so many interpretations of an already complex character.  

 

I really need to find a print of that so I can get Westluck to sign it at BABS.

All the chess pieces are in motion... Soon all parts will fall into place. Soon the whole world will experience a state of bliss and loveliness that was unknown before... Her slender hoof will signal the last stage in the transformation...

Because she deserves these things... truly deserves them, needs them.

i find this mix of realism and cartoonism to work quite well. the fact that it's rarity only makes it better. especially with that cute little smile on her muzzle.
