I started drawing as soon as I was able to hold a crayon...when I was like, 2 years old.  Drawing just always relaxed me, if I was ever upset or sad or stressed, I would always go to drawing, and I was always good at it. Nowadays I put that talent to good use, seeing as once I perfect my pony drawing skills I plan on starting up commissions.

I needed a hobby. Something to distract me from work. Something to do. I ended up being good at it so I started going to college and taking classes for it. It’s nice to have hobby. Keeps my mind off of work when I’m home.

I stopped drawing because my teacher found out I was drawing hentai in class, which was the only place I practiced

The first time I remember drawing was on Grandparents day at pre-school. I was using extra large Crayola markers, which sat in a wooden block with holes drilled for them. My Grandparents were content to sit and watch me. There was some group activity the class left the room for. 

But I remember Sheila, one of the teachers telling me that they were gonna just let me draw since I seemed to enjoy it so much. 

After 40 years, two university degrees, a few shows, a failed marriage and a lot of damage and pain, I've never stopped drawing. 

So as for myself, I can only answer that there is no why. I just draw. The above described scene is one of my earliest memories, and I was already drawing when the memory begins.

I've always been a creative type; when I was a kid, I liked to make massive fighting scenes using cut pictures from newspapers and magazines, and drawn stick figures. Then school came and kinda killed that part from me, as the limits posed on me in the art/craft classes took the fun out of creation. Years later, when I joined the forums, my want to draw was ignited once more, and here we are.

Well I suppose I started because way back in junior school I was hardly ever interested in the lessons. Armed with nothing but pencils and paper doodling was about the only engaging thing I could do. 

That was long before I ever actually felt inspired to draw. Which came about when I first started watching MLP FIM, I tried my hand at fanart in the very first week of falling in love with the show. It has been about 10 years since then and I haven't improved a whole lot which I do think is a bit of a shame but I'm still chipping away.

My biggest inspiration when it comes to art is MLP fanart, I want to get better at drawing ponies so I can also contribute creatively as a member of the fandom, I'd like to be part of projects and the like that keep the flame going so to speak.
Art has been a bit uphill for me, mostly due to me having mild ADD It is challenging to sit down and practice if I don't perceive it as fun, fortunately inspiration is never in short supply and I am constantly reminded to keep going and to actively choose to draw instead of saying "later" I'd like to think I'm slowly getting better at that.

As for proudest... never really thought about it but after a bit of scrounging I'll say this one from last year is up there and worth sharing.
