gaming Porn game on steam greenlight?

So I was browsing the greenlight section and I come across the title, I found out from the comments and google search that it's a porn game.

 

Apparently the steam greenlight version simply removed the nudity and sex organs but I bet it could be repatched within seconds by the user.

 

It would be interesting is this goes through as it'll encourage more porn game makers to sell kiddie freidnly rating of their products while they can be patched to add the porn.

Also, i'm sure there are something that will block kids from visiting the game. Like there are with every action game, where you have to type in your age.

 

Even though i'm sure that the minors will type in that they are over 70 years old, but thats their problem.

Everything sold on Steam needs to go through Valve's QA team first, and they would definitely not allow such a thing to go through.

 

Besides, a game being on Greenlight in the first place tells you that it probably wouldn't be approved through normal means.  What baffles me, though, is why someone would pay the Greenlight fee for a game that Valve would obviously never allow.

I'm pretty sure that the game in question is Bone Town: Mature Edition. 

It's not really a porn game though from what I've seen of it, I mean the graphics style for one automatically tells me this game isn't serious at all. From the descriptions its more like comedy game that contains sexual themes. Also I doubt they'll be able to patch in the nudity and such because of Steam's content rules. 

 

I'm more concerned that it's a terrible game rather than the content. When we can blow the brains off people and sliced through limbs so I'm not really surprised or concerned by this at all.

They removed the porn part so it would make the M rating instead of AO but I'm sure that it can be manually patched to the non censored version.

 

This could start a precedent for porn gamemakers and everyone will use the loophole to sell T-M rated game that could be patched with AO content.

I think I've heard of the game...I haven't played it, though.

 

It was only a matter of time before they crossed this line. However, I don't think people are going to sell games that can easily be turned into porn to people who aren't 18.

This isn't even that bad. Ever heard of RapeLay? It's a Japanese game where you rape this women, and then rape her daughters. Good graphics, too.

I personally believe that children who aren't teenagers don't have a place on Steam or other websites in the first place. I always go with the "If you don't like it don't look at it" motto when it comes to the issue.

 

Besides, Steam isn't even meant for kids, OP.

I meant it, it does have good graphics. It's all anime, obviously, but it does look great. I crossed it out because saying a rape game looks good might rub some people the wrong way.

But actually, it does have great graphics.

When I say that everything on Steam must be approved by Valve, I also mean updates.  There' no possible way they would allow a patch with obvious pornographic content, and even if it did slip under the radar it wouldn't last for more than an hour or two before Valve realizes what's actually in it.

 

If anything, it would discourage this kind of practice for future developers.

Unofficial patch on gaming forum or mod site will do, just check out the #1 mod for ANY pc game and it's always the nude/sex mods lol.

Actually I have a question in that there have always been LOTS of adult mods for Sims 2 and now 3. Since Sims 3 was recently on sale through and uses Steam does that mean they disallow modded content (which really is the POINT of getting something like the sims) for a vanilla game or do they allow customization like the normal pc version?

Welp, that just happened. I doubt Steam will allow this though, if Valve has any concern in terms of what they put in their service, which from what I've gathered they do, they will not allow this.

It's actually been out for several years. This is just to see if they can release it on Steam, since it'll get a lot more sales and publicity that way.
