Well, if there's one thing it's that Overkill has noticed lol.

Look, I like Destruction but I didn't go crazy over them like I did when I first heard Kreator.

I saw that picture. I was laughing for days. God, Blitz and co. is too much sometimes.

I know, so do I. Problem is, they're failing to keep up. Plus, Spiritual Genocide could've been better by far.

Dude I wish I had this shirt just so I could wear to school and troll the shit out of people LOL. But, I'll probably get in trouble because it has the word "fucking" written on it. XD

I also found this but I'm more of a Misfits fan.

I have a person my class who's an Avenged Sevenfold fan

I should show him that shirt the next time I see him

Even though he'd probably not care about it at all

It would still be funny to show him it

And damn if I were an Over Kill fan I'd wear the hell out of that shirt

Dude you should listen to Overkill's The Years of Decay, really good stuff.

Huh. I thought you'd recommend Under The Influence over Years Of Decay...

And I don't listen to enough Black Metal to find the meme funny. Sorry.

I'm almost finished listen to Inhale Exhale by Nasum

I'll listen to it after that

Well here's another confession to keep this thread going on it's original pace

I'm getting into certain Grindcore stuff, so far my favorite bands are Pig Destroyer, Nails and Nasum

Though I don't seem to like Napalm Death, I know they were one of the first

But I just can't seem to get into their music

You should listen to Carcass. Check out their first album "Reek of Putrefaction" it's really good. Hell, listen to everything by Carcass.

Oh yea about confessions, I really liked Metallica's black album and Children of Bodom is the perfect combination of melodic death metal and power metal.

You aren't the first person to say that

But I've been questioning whether I should listen to them or not

Since I didn't like Napalm Death and Carcass were around at the same time as them

(At least from what I've been told) Not meaning to be too quick on judging

But still the same generation with a band that I didn't really care for at all

Though I'll possibly go for it

And also listened to a song by Overkill, it wasn't half bad

Not my favorite, but still fairly good I definitely wouldn't mind

Hearing it again if I had to

Well you did say you liked melodic death metal, right? Because their last two albums (Heartwork and Swansong) were melodic death metal.

I'll give those albums a try and see if I like them

Though since it's Melodic Death Metal

I don't see why I'd have a problem with them

EDIT: I've listened to Corporeal Jigsore Quandary

It's actually a pretty good song, I'm enjoying it

Carcass were actually one of the first melodic death metal bands out there. Heartwork came out way back in '93 so they predate In Flames.

Alright then I'll need to add Heartwork onto my album wishlist

Oh and here's another confession

I can't stop adding onto my wish list of albums

Sometimes listening to a wide variety of music can have it's prices

That you need to pay, but hey it's worth it if you ask me

Don't forgot Swansong too. :D In fact I actually bought Swansong for $9 off iTunes and I rarely ever buy music. It was worth every penny I paid for it.

Musical confessions huh?

Most Thrash metal I can't stand (sorry NNL), and I'm usually a hit or miss with Black Metal.

I dislike how many "djent" bands are outer spaced themed, or have space-related artwork;  at this point it feels overdone.  I get most of that stuff is atmospheric and instrumental, which is supposed to evoke the feeling of traversing the firmament, but it just feels like a cliche to me.

I love alot of indie rock/ indie folk music like Sea Wolf, The Walls, Good Old War, Dear and the Headlights, Jose Gonzalez, The Dear Hunter, Matt & Kim, and Ashleigh Ball's band Hey Ocean.

As much as I enjoyed ska as a kid and as an adult now, to think some of these bands are still producing music amazes me.  It's 2013 guys, pack it up already.

Outer space with atmospheric and instrumental music?

What? I thought that was over with

The funniest thing about that is that most of the ambient guys

Never did use a space theme for their music

And Ambient music is pretty much one of the roots for almost every atmospheric genre out there

So the fact of how Djent bands do that makes me laugh so hard

Honestly most atmospheric bands use the ocean, lakes and stuff involving water as their theme

Not outer space, like I mean how did it even get to be like that?

He also talks about deathcore and I don't like deathcore either but, I still think he's an ass. Then again he is a prog metal fan, so it's no surprise. <_<

Hey, I'm a Prog Metal fan, and I don't really care much for Grindcore. I also like some Deathcore.  :P

I did find the video pretty hilarious, though.

I LIKE NICKELBACK.
SHUT UP.

But yeah, their music is very solid.  Strong rhythm, excellent melody and use of instruments in composition - the lyrics aren't the most innovative, but they're still quite solid - generally, good music.  It's not earth-shattering, but it's a hell of a lot better than a lot of the stuff that's out there.

So anyone here got any dirty secrets about their musical tastes?

You know all of those artists, bands, genres etc.

That people say suck but you don't find to be that terrible at all

For me it goes like this:

I still love the Spice Girls... I obviously grew up in the 90's.

Night Ranger RULES!

STYX is awesome... especially songs sung by Shaw.

I still love Nickleback.. even though many say they suck.

Country isn't all whine whine whine... It's great.

80's will NEVER DIE...   >_>   It isn't crap...my dear sister

I like Lady Gaga... at least SOME of her songs.

I like Call Me Maybe

I like Starships...  Especially from Pitch Perfect

I really enjoy various musical songs... and opera songs

I like A7X

Ramminstien is great... I love hearing the German lyrics...

I have an issue with people saying I HATE THIS BAND BECAUSE OF 1 SONG OR PERSON...   (my sister is notorious for this action) I still love Ted Nugent for his mad skills on the guitar, even though I dislike some of his views or actions...   Yes, while some of the bands or people I listed may not be the top out there, its still a joy to hear them.   To me the best band ever is Damn Yankees...  I love them....  after that then Night Ranger and Styx...   I love Foreigner... which many also hate.

:) My music taste to me is great, people don't like it they can kiss it  :D

Just Dance was one hell of a catchy song

Country isn't all whine whine whine... It's great.

Johnny Cash = epic

Ramminstien is great... I love hearing the German lyrics...

Rammstein don't get hated on, at least I've never seen the hate

I admit it!!! I like a Miley Cyrus song! *gets shot*

It's honestly pretty catchy, although the lyrics are pretty stupid. But yeah, I typically can't stand music like this, I have no idea why I like this XD

I like some pretty cheesy stuff and stuff that lots of people consider 'chick music.' (of course, i watch MLP so I obviously don't care if lots of people think something I like is for 'chicks')

A lady friend had tickets to a Bon Jovi concert and invited me. It was awesome!

'Take On Me' *cringe* yeah it's true.

'Hungry Like the Wolf'

"You Gotta Share, You Gotta Care" everyone seems to hate it but I really like it.

Katy Perry ain't that bad - her hit song "Firework" has been stuck in my head for a long time, and I ain't complaining. This also goes for many other pop artists that people seem to hate these days, the only thing I see bad about them is how they are marketed to the public.
