Brony Club Is A-Go!

Well, after a night in the library, the groundwork is in place to start a brony club on my campus. I printed a bunch of flyers and set up a Facebook group. I know there's pegasisters on campus, and I suspect a few people I know might be bronies, and now I'm finally taking the initiative to find a way to get us all together!

 

 

Again, a big thanks to @hawkflame for the tear-off-tab flyer template.

 

I printed out 15 flyers in total: 5 color, 10 black and white. I'm going to put the 5 color flyers in the main thoroughfares on campus (library and bookstore entrances, campus store, dining hall, etc), where it will need to be eye-catching to compete with lots of other flyers. The 10 black and white flyers will go in stairwells and smaller billboards.

 

So far I only put two up. One of the colored ones by the library entrance, and a black and white one on the billboard by the elevator in the library. I'm going to carry them around with me tomorrow, so I can put them up as I go from class to class around campus.

 

Now to play the waiting game...:3

This certainly is a very brave move on your part. I really hope that your club takes off. Just be careful, you might get some rude comments from people who aren't bronies / pegasisters.

I wish you luck on your Brony Club. I'm currently waiting for to hear back from my advisor for my club to see how to promote my Brony Club who's meeting will be sometime in March.

Wish my high school had clubs like that. We had the Glee Club, Chess Club, Sci Fi Club, Goat-Worshipping club where they stab virgins with silver daggers over pentagrams... No brony club. Granted the show wasn't out then...

Hmm, I think you've inspired me to do this as well on my campus. However my high school isn't the friendliest of environments. But please do tell how this went! I'm excited to know if it will be a success!

I guess I'm lucky that my campus has a very open billboard policy. I can print them quickly and discretely, and I don't need any prior permission to put them up. It's just a matter of finding an empty spot.

 

Part of the reason I printed so many is that I expected a portion of the flyers might get trashed by haters (though I have hope they won't be, overall this seems like a very tolerant campus). I put a little analysis into it. I'm going to put up several flyers around buildings that a lot of bronies will likely congregate (communications building, art building, arts and sciences building, etc), and maybe put...1 up in buildings where there probably wouldn't be many bronies. By the time I'm done there will be 180 tabs floating around different parts of campus. At least a few should find their way into the hooves of the right ponies. It's a numbers game.

You should print them, go to college living quarters (if there are any) and slip them under all of the dorm room doors.
