Kitty Cat Moonshire 629 March 3, 2013 Share March 3, 2013 Because of a certain wonderful show that we all know and love, I now view a few things differently than before. 1. Rainbow colors. Before, my mind associated them with nature, and the homosexual community (no offence, you all are awesome). Now I see rainbow colors as being totally badass, thanks to rainbow dash. 2. The word 'yay.' Before, when said as fluttershy did, it would have seemed sarcastic and uninterested. Now I associate it with one of the cutest things ever. 3. Dragons. These used to be the symbol of utter power, now I view them as a cleaning maids who barf up letters from an overpowered princess. Not quite to this extreme, but they have been sissified in my mind 4. Judging things! Now I can see that judging a book by it's cover, so to speak, is quite foolish, thanks to the discovery of this show. So what about you? What do you view differently as a result of FiM? 14 Make sense? What fun is there in making sense?
~Chaotic Fireball~ 499 March 3, 2013 Share March 3, 2013 I view ponies differently now. I used to hate horses and stuff like that b4 but now ponies have opened up my eyes. Yeah. That's it. Pretty much. 1 "Mama told me not to waste my life, she said spread your wings my little butterfly. Pinkazoid 3,493 March 3, 2013 Share March 3, 2013 I learned that making those around you happy is more important than self-pleasure. I also learned to value things for what they are and not what they could be. x) 3 :
Naught Important 434 March 3, 2013 Share March 3, 2013 To completely and utterly honest... I used to wonder what friendship could be Seriously, I thought that friendship was nearly worthless before I watched the show! Now, I value frienship a lot! Unfortuantely, No human I have found, that isn't a brony, would be a good friend to me other than my sister. Shamful... 6 The extent of my interest is in things that don't exist. Or, at least, things that aren't in the basic man's senses

poniesforfun 716 March 3, 2013 Share March 3, 2013 (edited) I've always found the word yay is a gesture of acting cute. Rainbow colors always makes me think of LGBT no matter what. And are you saying gays can't be badass? Right. I see the rainbow color is terrible for anyone to wear. This show altered my views in that a girl's show run by the right author (like Lauren Faust) can be good. Zygen 6,066 March 3, 2013 Share March 3, 2013 Well it altered my perception of ponies I guess, before I didn't really care for them, but now I'm on better terms with real ones, and on even better terms with the pastel colored cartoon ones . I can't think of many other things. Except that I now don't have to think of Twilight as some sparkly vampire and instead as an adorable pony . Thats the only one I can think of right now. 2 Thanks to Gone Airbourne for the awesome sig! Alleviate 342 March 3, 2013 Share March 3, 2013 Well...Let's just say: This. Changes. EVERYTHING. No, really, it did. Seeing the difference between harmony and chaos, how friendship (+Stuff) effects things, elements of harmony are actually decent guides for everyday life (Yes, even magic...Because...Oh, look! An obvious distraction! *points at wall*) I think I can safely say that this changed everyone here somehow. ALWAYS for the better ^-^
Nohbdy 4,108 March 3, 2013 Share March 3, 2013 I can no longer see IRL ponies as ponies. When I hear or read about ponies, I think about cute cartoon creatures with candy-colored coats. When I see a real pony, I get surprised. My mental image of ponies is that from the show. Reality is now unrealistic. Oh, yes, MLP has altered my perception of reality.
Pinkie Pie 3 U 42 March 3, 2013 Share March 3, 2013 (edited) I will do mine in a letter. : ) Dear Princess Celestia, From watching you and your subjects I learned to be more accepting of others and judge on a person's character rather than first looks. I learned that old stereotype of guys not being allowed to like girl things or vice versa is rather silly, I say anyone should be allowed to like what they like. Most of all, I learned that being a guy doesn't mean you have to bottle up your feelings, you should be able to express yourself to the fullest intent something I thought girls were only allowed to do without hesitation. It forms better relationships that way, instead of hiding behind a false "manly" bravado. On a sillier note, I learned to accept more colors in my wardrobe that I used to think would be lame for guys to wear. Further I also wanted to tell you, that you pony folk are awesome and never will I look down on ponies again. Your student, Pinkie Pie 3 U PS. Friendship is ****ing magical! Phoenix237 353 March 3, 2013 Share March 3, 2013 Well it altered my views on ponies. I used to not care about them and thought the franchise wasn't all that good. Now I believe that it's the best thing on TV right now. And also I have become more confident in myself to make friends and wouldn't you know it that I have. Antismurf9001 1,271 March 3, 2013 Share March 3, 2013 You know, I will never, ever, ever be able to hear the words clop or plot again without giggling like an idiot. Also, many apples were also consumed after watching Apple.mov Yep, here too, mostly for the 'plot' part though. I can no longer say 'this book has an excellent plot' without immediately thinking of a pony's rear end... It's kind of sad really. I need to find a synonym to replace it now. I also have a much higher tolerance of the color pink, and it immediately makes me think of fun. Finally, I seem to be much more open-minded to new ideas. For example, my dad relatively recently developed a liking for Hallmark movies (by my definition, these are movies that are shown on the Hallmark Channel TV station). I highly dislike these, and will admit that I was sort of a hater. A few weeks after I really got into the show though, I sort of had an epiphany that if I was watching and enjoying a show filled with brightly colored ponies then disapproving of my father watching movies made for (I assume) middle-aged women was complete and total hypocrisy. Since then, I have tried to stop being such a jerk towards them, though I have to restrain myself sometimes. WWAPD 126 March 3, 2013 Share March 3, 2013 Well, it changed my view on My Little Pony. I mean, when I was little, I HATED My Little Pony. Whenever I saw commercial for the pony dolls, it would drive me up the wall. Now, I know that this show is pretty amazing, and that the mlp franchise in general is not that bad. 1 Rarity is best pony. Enjoy violent fan fiction? Apocalyptic_Unicorn 240 March 12, 2013 Share March 12, 2013 Watching the show just made me realize how boring and unsatisfactory reality is, and will always be when compared to Equestria, and those awesome characters.
Eragonrde12 49 March 12, 2013 Share March 12, 2013 (edited) I actually do have a different perspective on reality. I'm more accepting of the colors pink and rainbow (is rainbow a color?) okay, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet, all smashed together in that order. And my perspective of friendship as well as been changed. You know, I will never, ever, ever be able to hear the words clop or plot again without giggling like an idiot. Same here Yep, here too, mostly for the 'plot' part though. I can no longer say 'this book has an excellent plot' without immediately thinking of a pony's rear end... It's kind of sad really. TailsIsNotAlone 3,695 March 13, 2013 Share March 13, 2013 (edited) Nah, this hasn't really happened to me. I already knew real life was boring and unsatisfying and that nonhuman cartoon characters could be attractive. If MLP had really altered my perception of reality, I'd be seeing ponies around my house and weird stuff like that! LOL. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to use the can... Starflower 323 March 13, 2013 Share March 13, 2013 Like others here, my views of friendship have changed since I started watching MLP. I hated making friends back then, I hated meeting people, and I always wanted to be alone. Now I'm a social butterfly, and being alone just sucks.
