Hero or a legend?

Hey everypony I have a question for you all! So I was playing Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 and it made me think of a question. During some boss battles you can take either the legen (harder) or hero (easier) choices. Well if you could choose to be known as one in real life ( a legend or a hero) which would you choose?

Depends what you're a legend for I suppose.  If I was a legendary hero then a legend for sure lol.  Legends continue to inspire people through ages, I can't imagine anything greater.

I might go with legend. It has a more permanent feel to it. Sure, hero has better connotations and you can be legendary for something negative, but I think I'd prefer to be a legend. Anything I get remembered for will be positive

I chose hero because instead of being remembered for a thing or a few things I did I'd like to be remembered for doing something heroic. However the people choosing legend have good reasons too

That said, I do think that the title of "hero" is more my speed.  Heroes are the kind of people that are mentioned, appreciated, and soon half-forgotten.  Legends are sure to be analyzed and criticized again and again by historians, and eventually their name might be tainted by a couple not-so-heroic acts.

a legend, something so epic that it is remembered for years....however, the older it is, the more twisted the tale

 

a hero is just someone who does whats just is a world that needs it

 

legends are just myths made by those who wish to be

 

i choose the path of a hero, no matter how rough the journey to become one is

 

that, and i honestly dont care if im remembered, because not all legends are legendary

I'd like to be remembered as a nice humble guy who made the world just a tiny bit sunnier. He lived, was nice and died. That's it. Would I save someone if they were in trouble if the circumstance happened? Yes but I try to take personal joy that I've saved a life than have people worship me as a hero.

Also I can't take the game being any easier XD It would be such a better game I the difficulty was higher. Thee are a few battles that gave me a bit of difficulty but overall it was painfully easy... but still really fun and has an amazing story XD

I rather be a archer/sniper world class best sniper/archer legend   for that time and to be remember by alot  and do more legendary stuff  then other's would do in there time life so yeah i pick legend all the way

Well, the greatest Hero who ever lived was so tremendous that he continuously gets cycled into the realm of Legend by the public consciousness. So I guess Jesus Christ kind of dances on both sides of the line at the same time.

Heroes are legendary and legends create heroes.

 

... That being said, I'd be more of a hero kind, because heroes create legends and can become legendary, thus inspiring a new generation of heroes who in turn inspire another generation of heroes and so on, continuing the legend that one hero created.

I feel like this..: Hero - Someone who does something for GOOD. Legend - someone who has done or does something .. epic, or legendary.. and it doesn't have to be good. It works in both ways - good and evil too.

 

I'm an old legend so I think my answer is clear...

I choose Hero. I don't have so much of an ego that I feel the need to be remembered forever. It's more important to be a hero and do the right thing rather than to try and make a name for yourself.

 

Of course it would be best to be both. Someone like Jesus Christ, Abraham Lincoln, or even Martin Luther King would be both. Heroic for the deeds they did, legendary because what they represent is more important than the biographical facts of who they were.

Nether, I don't like the idea of a lot of ponies knowing who I am, I like being a no body its a lot easier. This way I can live a normal life and not have everypony and their mother trying to get to know me or whatever..

I like hero better. I want to be remembered for my good deeds, but not known throughout history like a legend is. When I think of hero, I keep imagining a fantasy medieval era. That would be neat. Traveling the vast land and just helping people with problems involving dragons, ogres, or any other sort of life threatening monster. Not accepting payment for my heroic feats.
