The Mane Six got new dresses and Rarity's dresses gone

I feel like Season 3 was the biggest slap in the face on Rarity. She didn't get an episode of her in it. They're not wearing the iconic dresses she designed and now they have some random new dresses. The dresses was a perfect opportunity to make an episode of her making them... but no. It's like forget everything about Rarity.

Well Twilight's coronation is something that you'd want to wear something really fancy and new, not the same thing you wore to another party xP 

Although it was kind of sad to Rarity not getting an episode directed to herself while everyone else got one, season 4 might fix that I guess. there's 26 episodes right?

Those dresses definitely look Rarity designed. But having a whole other episode about designing dresses for the main six would just seem like a repeat of Suited for Success.

 

Yes, it does seem weird that there wasn't a Rarity episode in S3, but I'm pretty sure they make episodes around ideas, not around ponies (in other words they don't go, we need a Fluttershy episode because she hasn't had one for 3 episodes in a row etc.). I know I don't do that when writing, because otherwise the episodes come out as forced. Having a good Rarity episode is better than having a mandatory one that isn't very good. Luckily, there are 26 episodes next season, so there should be a chance for everypony to get the spotlight.

 

Also, nice dresses. Never got the chance to pay full attention to them before

I think the only person who knew the coronation was happening was Celestia; and even then she had to wait and see if Twilight could finish Star Swirls magic.

 

It would have been cool for Rarity to secretly be given the task of making the dresses by Celestia and not letting the other ponies find out about it.

Every single episode of Rarity has something with her making dresses. We have enough.  And in every one she has a unique song. Besides, I think those dresses that the Mane 6 wore to the Coronation were pretty cute.

And having an episode of Rarity making them might be a bit difficult since they already had Suited For Success.

It wouldn't have killed them to insert a 10-20 second mention in a Season 3 episode that Rarity was making dresses for the "next big event" that comes up.  That would've been one more nice piece of foreshadowing in addition to all the other clues of Twilight's impending coronation we got.

This. Rarity was just as surprised with Twilight's transformation as the rest of them. Unless she made those dresses in the blink of an eye, there couldn't have been a time where she knew to make dresses for an upcoming coronation. It might have been Celestia telling Rarity of a secret event, not specified as a coronation, but required all six of them to have dresses.

Well, I think Rarity designed those dresses as well. Also, I think the creators hinted of there not being a Rarity episode in season 3. But don't worry, season 4 will probably have plenty of Rarity to see. 

 

Plus , we already had an episode wit Rarity making dresses, and I think Rarity deserves a more better plot than one similar to that one. But I love Applejack and Rainbow Dash's dresses though. They look good! But season 4 will definitely have Rarity in it, they can only fit so much in a 13-episoded season.  And I don't think the writers would purposely leave Rarity out unless for a good reason.

Of course it could be more interesting if Rarity did not have one stitch in the new dresses and took it all with style and grace — for now.  In season four you can have her be upset about it or find she has a rival out there in the fashion world to deal with (who might play up that her designs were used making her even more mad at the cheap publicity stunting).

I don't know why everybody is complaining Rarity didn't get her own episode. If you ask me she didn't really need one. She had so many great parts in a lot of the episodes that she practically stole the show. She doesn't need one devoted to her when she can just steal the show from everypony else. As for the dresses...do we really need another cartoon where the characters never change the way they look but maybe once or twice? Rarity is a fashionista, do you really think she's only going to create one outfit for her friends through the series? I'll bet those aren't the last we'll see of Rarity's designs either.

Well, I don't mind the new dresses. In fact I like these dresses a lot more than the one's from the Best Night ever. They look more casual and a lot nicer looking. Don't know how to describe them seeing as I can't do it to well with dresses, but I just like these more.

 

It is a shame that Rarity did not get an episode this season, but o well. We well just have to wait tell season 4 to see what they do.

It's kinda like in a tv sitcom. Sure it's about the main character, but often times there's that one "side character" who everybody actually likes more than the main character and can quote more of their  lines. I'm not saying she's a side character but, I'm saying she doesn't need an episode devoted to her to steal the show. To be honest I like more of her parts when she wasn't the main focus of the episode.

Of course Rarity made those dresses. She's the most accomplished dressmaker in Equestria. :/ And, of course, the only three I thought were ridiculous and overdone were the same as the only three Gala dresses I thought were ridiculous and overdone, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, and Rainbow Dash. But, this was certainly an unexpected event, so Rarity must have whipped these up too quick for it to be an episode, plus, like many others said, too much repetition. I think that "Apple Family Reunion" was too much like "Apple Bucking Season", so why would I think any different of two Rarity dressmaking episodes?

Well, you have to take note that the season was a tad short and quick, so an episode about Rarity making the dresses wouldn't really be a good episode idea, as there was already one in season 1, as well as none of the mane 6 knew that there would actually be a coronation coming up. 

 

Yeah, there will be 26 episodes, and I'm absolutely certain that we'll have some Rarity in it! (I'm hoping for that, actually. :3)

Rarity is a fashionista, she wouldn't wear the same dress twice! not even in a big event such a coronation in Canterlot, now, how do we know that Rarity didn't make the dresses? there's anything that says that she did or didn't, so I would not be so sure about it though I would like to think that she made them, even if there wasn't a single text refering the dresses.

I would not wear the same gown I had worn at a party two years before, when celebrating a friend's becoming a princess! The press would have been at the Gala, and have run pictures of the ruins that the Mane six left it in! It would be tacky to wear those same outfits again! Besides, the ending was supposed to be a surprise. How could they have an episode about Rarity making them all new gowns, especially Twilight's, while not giving a reason for it?

Rarity definitely designed them. The one she's wearing is the one she designed the episode itself. Go rewatch "A True, True Friend." Its the dress she makes to help out AJ.
