Perhaps in the future, there can be a group created to handle all news. both pony and world related, like news staff or whatever. Gosh dang, that's a lot of stuff getting axed, but frankly it doesn't affect me in the slightest; never used a single one of those areas that are getting axed. As long as it makes the forums cleaner, less cluttered, and easier to manage for our wonderful staff of moderators, I'm all for it! The Octavia's Hall character minimum reduction is a very nice change as well, and I'm very interested to see how this little experiment put together by Key Gear plays out. I actually just suggested something similar (a flag-and-guideline-based system) that would allow people to post short, polite messages such as "Thank you" and "You're welcome" without fear of being punished. I'm very much looking forward to seeing this system put into action and would like to sign up to help test it (since that sort of thing is what I do for a living). I can't really speak to any of the other forum features being given the axe in this post, as I'm too new to the forums and haven't used any of them at all. But if they're causing extra headaches or cost with little to no benefit, then probably the right thing to do to pull the plug on them. How could they can Mailmare!? Where will we get our pony news?! And a subforum for Equestria girls is important. On one case it ould be aweful and it gives people a place to whine. There are plenty of competent users who play TF2 and probably could do the job. In all honesty it doesn't take a rocket scientist to use commands in a source game. We were openly taking applications for staff members for the TF2 server on more than one occasion. The amount of interest was impressively nonexistent.
