I find it odd that my high school was nothing at all like the way high school is portrayed in movies and tv shows.

Everything in high school movies and tv shows are over-romanticized by a thousandfold :x

I'd like to know where the idea of people only hanging out in their easily-identifiable social groups came from because aside from a few exceptions, no one seemed to be part of any group. Also, these high school movies tend to portray everyone as a jock, nerd, prep, goth, or artsy type. Thanks Breakfast Club for starting this asinine format.

What really irks me is those kind of shows like those always over-exaggerate things and problems that are essentially non-existent in real life. We might as well be watching Pinkie Pie talking about the weather to a squirrel
