I went to my first Krav Maga lesson today. I thought it would be good if I tried to keep up with the other two students during our cardio warm-up because I was already embarrassed for being the only fatass there. It was a huge mistake. It was very rough, and I went from tired to winded to near fainting in a couple of minutes, yet no matter how much I wanted to sit, I forced myself to keep a slow walking pace so that my heart rate wouldn't drop too fast. Eventually the instructor said there was no shame in taking a breather, and one of the students said the exact same thing happened to him when he first started. That made me feel better, but then I damn near keeled over and had to run to the bathroom to throw up. A few minutes later, I was feeling well enough to start practicing. One instructor taught me a basic routine of snap kick, right cross, and left hook. I had a few balance issues, trying to kick correctly while not blowing my stance, and I still need a lot of practice, but for the most part it was good. My instructor told me I had an especially good hook. After that, we moved on to self defense, and my instructor taught me the basics of getting out of a carotid choke to dislocate the shoulder and follow it up with some knees to the face and groin. We went over getting out of front chokes next. It's all surprisingly easy and fluid. I had been worried that real-life fighting would be as difficult as trying to memorize button combinations for fighting games, and it would take a ton of memory to get things right, so I was pleasantly surprised to learn just how easy it is. Right now my whole body is sore, and my head is pounding. Oh well; I guess it comes with the territory. The instructor is going to help me build an exercise and diet plan as well, so hopefully, I'll get my weight down while I learn to kick ass.

What's funny is that this would be A LOT easier for me. Having input commands would be awesome. Everyone can have their own moveset and even copy a favorite fighter of theirs. Id totes copy Cody from SSFIV.

You guys know how I use Windows Phone?

My mom wants me to switch to the iPhone. If I did that, I would lose a 720p screen, dynamic Start screen, the ease-of-use of Windows Phone, NFC, 4G LTE, emulators from the app store (instead of third-party sources), FM radio, the Microsoft authenticator app, BLINK, ProShot, my custom tiles, a native solution for limiting data usage, and some other things that Windows Phone has while iOS doesn't. I don't even like Apple to begin with, and from what I've used of her iPhone, iOS is a retarded operating system, and the hardware it's sold on is the phone equivalent of Call of Duty, with a warmed-over refresh every year. HTC doesn't release a new version of my phone every year.

 

And yeah, Windows Phone is missing features too. But it has features that iOS doesn't have, such as every feature I listed in this post. Although two of those are apps (BLINK and ProShot).
