I was homeschooled from Middle School to High School, had no interaction with people outside of my family, really, soooooooo... :/

How did that fare? I'm on the other end of the spectrum but I can't say I had any "healthy" amount of social interaction.

But its like waving a pice of chocolate in front of a fat german kid.

He wants it but cant get it.

Pity on thy poor tortured soul... :(

Yeah, that makes a bit of a difference. :z

Sorry bout dat, mate. :/

Well, I guess I over exaggerate a little bit too much there. I do/did have friends but the maximum was like 5 or 6 people... :/ on top of that since my senior year they have all but stopped talking to me.

I mean people talk to me but, its like once every blue moon.

Maybe its just that Im too quiet.

My entire group was about that size as well. Maybe a tad bit bigger, but I doubt it.

Usually after graduating from highschool is when you find the friends that will really stick around. Ive also stopped talking to majority of them for the most part minus very few times. We hang out even less as well. My answer to this seems to have been to get a nice group of buds online, which, ive no problem being my main source of friendly interactions. Ive actually for the most part become quite accustomed to lt and somewhat prefer it now.

Hmmm, you dont really have to be talkative to have fun. Maybe if yall did something fun they may start talking to ya again and more often. Have you tried setting up something with a few of them? Just some way to try and reconnect with them.

It... Kinda made me socially awkward :x I doubt I had trouble conversing with others while I was still in Elementary School...

I always felt like I felt out of place; I'm not white, my folks spoke something that wasn't English, and whenever I typed my name in a computer, it said I misspelled some other word. That could be typical of Asian American kids in general. But even so, I was born naturally shy and for, like, kindergarten to 5th grade, it'd be hard for me to say a word. 6th was an odd exception. Plus ADD. And I think some speach problem? I said S'es in an odd way, which was probably the last thing I remember...

So how did I go from having my favourite colour be red to red-green-blue to white-blue-black?

You, uuhh...Well, ya kinda can't. :z

At least, not from the inside.

If you hit when the last post is made while in the subforum, then it should take you to the most recent post.

I'm not so sure that's possible on the mobile layout, but I'll try it out next time I'm on my phone. It should work.

I've had the same problem. Unfortunately, I have no advice to give, as it's something I've not been able to work around. It's kinda weird, but if you think you have a solution I'd love to hear it.

Finally, it stops overheating-- You were saying? Wait, you have an actual air compressor, IE, a machine that compress air for you and stores it in a tank? Gawh, I wish I had one of those...

By the way, my processor is consistently above 60 degrees Celsius. Concerning?

That is concerning.

And my compressor dates back to the early 90s, so it's seen a lot of action. Gets the job done though, and it's something every IT dude should possess.

My CPU idles at 30-35c and rarely goes above 55c, even under full load. Zalman FTW!

60c under load isn't too bad, but if it's idleing above 60c, I don't even want to know what it's like at full power. That might cause a problem later on down the road.

Goodness, good thing I stopped playing modded Minecraft, then. I'm pretty sure mine's around 55 degrees Celsius, even at general usage. Half the problem was a large dustwad I didn't see between before (prior to that, it reaches 65 degrees, even when I'm not doing anything), and bear in mind that my processor's not even overclocked (I almost underclocked it); it just pours out lots and lots of heat (AMD FX-4170).

Yeah, I really do need to up my system; I thought of getting one of those Cooler Master after-market coolers... (I remember looking at the reviews for the processor I got; a lot of them said "Get an after-market cooler", and some of these were people who didn't even overclock.)

There's something I've really wanted to do for a long time.

Get one of those portable air conditioners. Pull it up next to your PC. Use some flexible ducts and some duct tape to connect the cool air out to your PC's air intake. Turn the AC on first, then use your computer as normal. If that isn't a Cooler Master, then only dry ice can save you.

But if you want to be a little more reasonable, yes, get an aftermarket cooler. I have a $65 Zalman cooler; it looks badass and it works pretty well. Before that I had the Freezer 7 Pro from Arctic Cooling. It worked just as well. The temperature difference between those two was only about 2-4c, whereas that from stock cooling is a 10-15c difference.

I'm running a Phenom II x4 955 BE OC'ed to 3.7GHz. It's all in a Cooler Master HAF 922 case, loaded with as many fans as it can mount. It's a decent setup, and it stays cooler than my laptop. My GPU, on the other hand, is one big beast. The Radeon HD 7950 I have will get up around the 70c range, even with all the airflow my case provides.

computer talk

My computer averages at roughly 30 degrees Celcius, and I'm just using fans.

However, that's most likely because I haven't played any PC games since I got a computer thermometer.

So Minecraft was left running on my machine. Already, my computer's a heater.

I feel like taping a box fan to my computer; there's no room in my room for a portable AC unit... But I still wanna get a better cooler.

Hoenn confirmed...Hoen confirmed...

You OK, kitty?

To all of you guys: Can you remember a time when computers were passively cooled, or rather, when the only fan in a computer was the one for the power supply and that was the one fan that was supposed to cool down everything?

Is it sad that I can sing along to this word for word?

Not really; if there's a song you really like, you'll feel inclined to memorise the lyrics. Half the time, however, my ears (and practically everyone else's) don't come with captions, so it's easy to mishear things. (The same goes for movies.)

Well watching it on a 10 hour loop for about 3 days straight causes you to memorize something almost religiously.

All computers I ever owned had fans over their cpus, including the ones that were single core 2.0-ish ghz cpus. I think if you have a CPU that has plenty of space inside (there's plenty of air space between the CPU, GPU and other components), a fan on the power supply that vents air out, a regular fan that vents air out, and an intake fan that blows air in, you should be fine with cooling.

And, obviously, keep the heat sinks on the GPU and CPU clear of dust.

I hugged a horse once. I wanted to hug a pony at a traveling petting zoo that came for a historic festival event a year back, but wasn't sure how to go about doing it without looking like a creep.
