That's kind of part of the existential crisis, the apathy. The what is the point, the does it matter.

That's how I felt about writing and drawing; one being an untapped and unharnessed talent that's now withered away into nothingness, and the other being an already-exploited talent that's just disused. Both are overshadowed by something that matters more to me: mod development. Besides, one of those was just a big waste of time.

 

Here's how I operate: If even one thing matter to someone, even myself, I matter already. Mod dev means a lot to me, more than I realised before.

I've done my time with those. I've moved into video production and moving toward web design as some of my skills carried over. It seems there is more worth in these areas than just writing or drawing on it's own.
