So, before I wrote about the guys who frequented the GCT..........did you really think I'd leave the rest behind? PERISH THE THOUGHT! Here are the others I admire, know a little, or have also seen in less perchance on.

 

Alfonzo Dennard, AKA Alphonse, AKA Al, AKA Devin McCourty, AKA Devin, AKA Saucy starter n°2 Ah, the pic seeker! My fav guy for the stuff. Has not denied a single particular wub for the ponies, hence his hobby aside forums. XP You're also very good in Show Discussion stuff, and a pretty funny guy. You're also an ex-mod, so you got connections...you're gonna be the mafia man dude. XP

 

Otto Carius, AKA Otto, AKA NewCalamity, AKA NC, AKA Judge Calamity. I see you and I totally believe you're canadian, stereotypes aside. You're calm, you're swell...and you're also Alicorn status. Not a single surprise here (you can also be pretty damn funny). I also remember you can blitzkrieg my flank whenever you want, so I better watch what I do in your watch, amen. You're also the other Rarity fan I know aside from Sparky, which is plus for me. XP

 

Scootacool, AKA Scoots, AKA Dr. Scootacool. So, my favorite doctor from around this forum grounds! Like Haven, pretty funny guy, but you're also serious when defending the forums, not even a wonder why you have the Alicorn status. You're also a sports liker just like Devin, which might lead heavy discussions with him (and I in fact want to see a serious sports talk between you, XFizzle, Devin and Scootabloom) .

 

Zoop, AKA Commander Zoop, AKA Princess Zoop...and you'll kill me for that, but your avvi needed it. As much as I don't know, I see just like Scootacool....minus the sports. Well, cars do count though. Ain't gonna miss that one. Pretty funny guy as well as serious when needed, it's a no brainer why he earns the Alicorn title. You're also capable of coming jp with cool thread titles, which should be a plus somehow.

 

Jinx, AKA.......er....I CAN'T EVEN WORK THIS! XP. I'll call you Trace's apprentice, because you seen to be quite like him. I haven't really seen you retaliate on anything....and you have his similar "stoicness", pardon in the name of Celestia and Luna if I'm wrong. The difference? A Lyra liker vs Carrot Top liker. It's hard for me to do a scale of 1 to 10. Instead, I generally prefer to give a yes or no on the following checklist:

 

1. Does the OC have limitations on their ability? - Yes (good thing)

2. Is the OC written consistently? - Yes (good thing)

3. Does the OC have an interesting personality? - Yes (good thing)

4. Is the OC's personality instantly recognizable to certain archetype? - No (good thing)

5. Is the grammar and spelling readable? - Yes (good thing)

6. Can you empathize with the OC? - Yes (good thing)

7. Can you “recognize” the OC's personality? - Yes (good thing)

 

If I can check off all of these marks, then someone is a dang good RP player. To me, those are really the most important criteria.

Sorta and not really....

I try not to spend too much money at one time, ponies and other things usually get first dibs since drum equipment costs a pretty penny sometimes. With that being said, I try to save a little for later on to purchase drum stuff, but I always find something else I want to get which stops me from actually saving up money for said drum equipment. I could if I found cheap enough drum equipment, but that's really hard.

 

Ah, I understand. Truth be told though, at least you can have stuff in your own house. I can't even have that. Luckily, the pony stuff can stay, so that's 1/2 at the most least.

Well, for me, I treat OC's like I do normal fictional characters. I studied classic British literature in college, so… I kind of have high expectations for characterization.

That was supposed to be "recognizable as a certain archetype".

 

I guess, another way to say it would be “is a character a stereotype”.

 

I'm always disappointed when I read a character description and it is the stereotypical femme fatale, badflank mercenary. bubbly cheerleader, etc. I'm even more disappointed when the characters dialogue fit specifically within that narrow fitting.

Well, as I said… Not a big fan of number ratings for OC characters. Frankly, besides Draco, all the rest of your characters get full points on my checklist.

 

(By the way, an additional reason that I don't do numerical ratings for OC characters is that each and every character is really customized for both the player and the RP games that the player prefers. Further complicating things, every RP game has its own style.)
