i have trouble just messing around because i'm being too hard on myself. because i know what i want to do but i have no idea how to do it and such. maybe i'm just impatient.

Not sure about that but what I DO know is that a dragon's tongue pretty much has a mind of its own xD

Nope.

It very rarely snows where Im at. And usually if it does, its not hard enough and doesn't stick and would normally just melt away before long.

the most i did yesterday was a bland DNB WIP, then i looked up a tutorial of a DNB Bassline thingy... halfway. then i thought that was it. i don't feel i'm able to produce any complete songs anytime soon over here, much less so any good WIPs.

You're thinking way too far ahead. You just got into music making, so its only natural that you won't be up there with the actual producers and whatnot. At least, thats how I interpreted your post when I read "good WIPs".

Just take it easy and do what you feel is good enough for your level. Slowly work your way up from there, but don't just aim for the best right away. That will definitely get you down.

i guess i have a ridiculously skewed view of all of this. well, i'm stil kind of a defeatist no matter what i am been told, really. it's almost hard-wired into my brain since several years back. it's still nowhere as bad as it was before (i actually do stuff now), but it's still a lot of "why bother" because i'm like that.
