Game is too fucking fast. Also, Apogee? Wow, since when is Apogee still around? I remember playing their games back in the 90's, and most game companies from the 90's are kaput.

that's the point of the game, to be fast-paced. the original ROTT had some fucking insane levels of speed and absurdity, which'll all be present in this reboot.

also, you're thinking of Apogee Software Ltd., which were the original incarnation of Apogee. shortly after the release of Duke 3D, they changed to 3D Realms. Apogee Software now is a video-game publisher that's established as a spin-off to 3D Realms.

I can't do those fast FPS's, and yes, I know that at one point they were all that fast. I did play Tribes and Unreal Tournament at one point, but I was pretty young, and I was never all that good at them.

I consider the original Unreal Tournament to be fast - at least in the same level as Quake.

oh, it IS pretty fast alright. and it's also got things like being able to dodge and such. i think Quake beats it in terms of speed though because there's so many things you can exploit in it to get an advantage ahead, most notably strafejumping and rocketjumping to hell and back. UT is a bit more laidback in that regard, i've felt.
