What's your house like atm?

I only ever live in caves, never above-ground... But this time, I live near the water, so I have to put up a few retaining walls to keep the water out.

 

My main house-ish shelter is just a room filled with machines and chests. Above that, many layers above, is my thaumatorium where I keep my magic gizmos. In between those two floors is a really elaborate library that took up a lot of gold, spruce, pine, and stone to make. The thaumatorium is exposed to the open air, but the floor is three blocks below sea level. Prior to me building it, I've had a few creepers blow up the natural wall that kept the water out, so I had to rebuild it several times over.

 

Yes, there's a window in the library that looks out into the bottom of the river. I still don't have a formal lounge or living room or bathroom or bedroom... Or a watchtower.

So how was everyone's holiday?

Not that great but not too terrible. Attended mass, enjoyed some chocolate, had some good food, played a bit of Minecraft, did a bit of writing. More or less the same stuff I do already but with a bit of extra stuff added to it.
