magical mishap when I was a colt. This bandage, eyepatch, whatever you want to call it, keeps whatever the hell it is in check. I don't like it getting out. It... scares me... I've hurt too many ponies by accident because of it...

The nuclear strike was called in by one of those who surrendered (NuclearBurg)  . He wasn't officially part of the Invasion then  . Only recently has he been added on the list  :comeatus:. His past actions are his own, not ours  . 

 

There would be no reason for an invasion if we intended to nuke you  (nor do we have any nukes in our own arsenal  ).
