Tich tries this art thing

So uhm, I recently bought a drawing tablet, faffed around, and now I've decided to try my hand at drawing. I've made some awful things, here's them in order.

These are in order of drawing them, I sketch over the base and draw the hair and stuff a little. Then do the lineart.

I spell awful elseways...

But if you wanna call it that, this is completely cool with me .-.

Positions look really good, nothing I can find about it, maybe the nostril is missing, but duh, it could be worse...

Maybe you can color your drawing next time, would probably make it around 20% cooler (even)...

Not bad.

I always pictured you as a cross between Demoman and Pinkie Pie for some reason.

Alright well the 3rd one is the lesser of the 3 I think. I personally use, and love my graphics tablet. what kind is yours?

If these are your first ones, they are pretty good. It takes a little bit of adjusting to the different technique.

It looks good for being your first time. Puts me to shame really.

What i think needs the most work is the hair and the tail. Mostly the tail though.

Out of the three, i think the first one was the best. Might be something with the eyes that i like.

@, This is what I use: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B005TYVS4Y

@@Friendship_Cannon, Honestly, I just draw over bases, and mess up the lines, the lkinework on the last one is ostensibly better considering they are more equal in girth. although I did blow up the original and used really thin lines which may be a problem, the first one has a lot of trouble with consistent line thickness and such.

Also I sometimes forget stuff, I'm awful at remembering stuff.

Ah, that is the exact same one i use XD. Good choice imo, I love it. Took me a while to get used to though. I just need to learn how to color the things i draw properly sad.png.

I've coloured things before, made topics, i use Photoshop to colour. These drawings were done in SAI, got some pointers from actual artists on settings.

I think the first sketch turned out the best. The hair looks a little bit weird in the 1st and 3rd sketches, and the tail seems a little bit off in all 3. Raising it up a little bit will help that. How many layers do you tend to have on these sketches/lineart?

If you compare to many others (no offence to those) it's very good!

I especially like the first two. The third one could use some changes but hey it's your first time.

There's only one way to get better, draw more! :)

Tich eh?  Tich.....still seems so oddly familiar and I don't know why.

Nice "art stuff" did you reference these or are they straight out of your noodle?

I drew over a base. So really, I had a lot to work off for, but I did a sketch over a base and then worked off that sketch to do the lineart.

*Shrug*

as long as you're doing it to learn the anatomy/muscle memory, then it's sa'lllll good,  and the arts will eventually just gush forth form your arty orifices,  teaming with creative juices.
