I almost gave up on music for a while. I had no inspiration, and no motivation. Then I watched the season 2 finale again and it all came back. It's amazing what this show can do sometimes

 

This is my first attempt at a trance style. Not my best, especially with the mixing and mastering, i'll admit that. I'm just glad to be making music again

Well this is a fantastic sounding track, great melodies. Only criticism i could give it is that i like to have a bit more pony influence in my tracks (although a lot brony trance goes for the purely instrumental) and that could be even as simple as adding a sample or two. Otherwise wonderful job.

Thank you  I'm glad you enjoy it. It's easy for me to get discouraged when I make music, but don't worry. I'll never give up. I have a few other brony songs planned

I agree actually. I was wanting to add some vocal samples from the show but I couldn't really find anything I could use. I'm hoping to include some in my next track though

Very nice.  The melody is good, the transitions and breaks add interest to the song, and all the pieces flow niceles together.  One complaint, however.  You touched on it in the OP, but your drum mixing could be done better.  The Hihats and Snares are fine, but the Kick is... less than impressive.  It resides in sub range frequencies, which clutter up your bassline and makes it difficult to hear.  Cut the sub out and boost the lower mids a bit (200-300 range).

Other than that, this is great.

Just to make sure if you want to use samples make sure you snag the ones without background music. You can find those on this site already ripped that way. A lot of people still are unaware of its existence..
