Yea so, this takes a while to get into... but's when you do it get better and better. Oh and I doubt you'll like Slayer... They're not for everyone.

What the frac you talking about, I liked this shit instantly. And your wrong, I like Slayer as well, they're just not way up on my list.

I would of chosen The Cure instead of U2, but whatever, I guess it's just your choice of band.

I would have chosen The Smiths over the Cure. The Cure does not sit well with me at all.

I doubt that he'd like Slayer as well.

I know right? That's what I said.

Well mine would've gon like this

60's- The Velvet Underground

70's- The Clash, Black Sabbath

80's- The Smiths, Slayer, Sonic Youth, The Pixies

90's- Nirvana, Radiohead

00's- Tool, Opeth

Nope not even close, Opeth was closer than Converge. It was worth a shot though.

Judging by that, it feels like if you just played Concubine for 2 seconds and completely ignored everything that Converge actually have to offer: Everything from the raw emotions to the deep lyrics

I choose The Cure over The Smiths for the fact of how their music has more depth and emotion to it, than The Smiths does, I find that The Smiths lack that sort of quality in a lot of their songs, and sound wise I prefer The Cure.

But who cares, since that's a popular opinion.

Stahp, Opeth are better. Come on mang, have some pride in yo country. Which is kinda hypocritical because Converge are from the same country that I'm from. Well whatever.

Nope I gave them a fair chance. Actually listened to All We Love We Leave Behind. If I could understand a word he is saying, maybe I might have a little bit more appreciation. Musically it's pretty good, but his voice just bugs the hell out of me.

I bet it's just me though.

Understandable. It's just something that'll grow on you eventually

Stockholm also had Bathory :< Bathory is fucking epic. And what's so bad about Stockholm. I'm from Los Angeles and I don't say things like "San Francisco sucks".

I was the same way with Converge, Jacob Bannon's vocals are quite the acquired taste, try out the songs Wretched World, Coral Blue, and Clean (Depeche Mode cover) those ones are easier to get into.

It's because they have nothing, their accent is one of the most horrific in Sweden, boring city and Gothenburg is a million times better :WWWW

I couldn't understand a damn word in Hell To Pay, even though it's all clean vocals, they were still pretty hard to hear, at least for me.

- I've never liked Slayer, and I never will.

- I've tried so hard to get into Dream Theater, but I just can't do it. I don't understand what all the hype is about.

- Blind Guardian is my favorite band.

- Nightfall in Middle Earth isn't their best album, A Night at the Opera is.

- Hansi Kursch is my favorite vocalist.

- Lyrics don't really matter to me, it's the melody that drives the song.

- I don't really care about music that isn't metal, except for a few exceptions.

- Liv Kristine is the best female metal vocalist.

- Folk Metal is the best Metal genre, followed by Symphonic, Power, and Melodic Death.

- For the most part, I do believe foreign metal is better than anything produced here.

Wretched World was the first Converge song that I got into, and yeah it is a beauty of a song, one of my favorites by them.

- I love power metal, but I despise Dragonforce.

This is a popular opinion you are aware, since most people do hate on DragonForce.

In all seriousness, check out these as well

Some other good songs that are heavy but have a different "style of singing" would be Lonewolves (one of my favorite songs by them) and First Light/Last Light

I guess that's all we have to go against their heavy metal onslaught. I've always liked Acid Bath and Mastodon, I can't really say that much for the rest of it.

Well at least you like Acid Bath and Mastodon, though my favorite Sludge band will always be Eyehategod. While my favorite Atmospheric Sludge band would either be ISIS or Neurosis.

- Drumstep > All other sub-genres of dubstep.

- Progressive House > All other sub-genres of House.

- Glitch Hop > All other sub-genres of Glitch.

- I believe UK Garage sounds terrible.

(I would add other opinions, but I've got to go.)

Agreed, can't believe they did a cover of Pink Floyd. On that note, there is a lot of music by Pink Floyd that has been covered that I had no clue about.

Hmm...folk metal you say, not much of a metal person myself, but I think I will look into it.

As much as I love Carcass, Opeth and Electric Wizard, I like my metal with a side of freedom. We had the highly influencial Florida death metal scene. With out that, melodeath wouldn't even exist. We also had Bay Area thrash. Nowadays we have Between the Buried and Me, Tool, and as you mentioned, Mastodon. So yea, America FTW. Oh and Eyehategod is good too.

Here goes I guess :/

- Absolutely despise country all except for a very select few.... Johnny Cash well I love that man.

- Disney teeny bopper music sleep.png need I say more?

- I am not to big a fan of certain genres of metal where some songs all involve nothing but screaming... I think you could understand where I am going to a point. Not to say I do not like screaming because I certainly do but when it comes to listening to nothing but yelling throughout the whole song :/ I am just not into that.

- I don't have too much else to say beyond that :P

This is also very popular. You pussy. Can't people use the term "growling" instead of "screaming"? Screaming is more of a punk thing.
