Us three and" She looked over at the mare and the colt by the entrance to the library "will you two be joining us as well ?" She asked.

  

Sunburst shrugged. "I don't see why not." "Well," Sunburst said, peeping up from behind the book. "Not really." "Yeah, I suppose we can all go." Sunburst's voice was still rather more diminutive and less forceful than it had been before, but less so than when she had been isolated with the other reading pony. She stood up, and moved to slide A History of Magic back onto the shelf where it had been. Sunburst caught a glimpse of the cover of the book that the colt was cradling so gently, like it was some precious treasure, and wondered at it.

"Well, then. Are we waiting for anypony else?"

He smiled at the small group that had formed. He actually looked forward to eating dinner with all of them; it wold give him a chance to get to know them better, and to see if they would tolerate each other; he already started taking and interest in Fire, but Sunburst seemed interesting too...

Airy placed his plate on a free spot on the table and "sat" down. "Hello together, a pleasure making your acquaintance. Your friend Windy Scamper already introduced me, so I won't need to repeat my name, but may I also ask for your names?"

Sure, your friend Windy Scamper. He didn't really think that Windy Scamper already would call him a friend or let him name her as one.

Well, now he wasn't sure what to do. He had to wait for the ponies' answers to his question.

He smiled at the small group that had formed. He actually looked forward to eating dinner with all of them; it wold give him a chance to get to know them better, and to see if they would tolerate each other; he already started taking and interest in Fire, but Sunburst seemed interesting too...

 

"Well, I don't see anypony else coming in, so it looks like we're good to go."

"O-oh, okay..." said Moonbeam hesitantly, walking over to look at the book, but then suddenly Dogboots showed up.

 

"W-well, I left after she woke up...I didn't want to upset her more. I-I think she hates me now...She just wants to be left alone, I think. Medically, I think she's okay though...I can't be 100% sure though because, like I said, I left shortly after she woke up...I hope she's okay..."

 

"O-oh, sure, F-firecracker...um...what do you want to know?"

 

"Like, why is she so afraid of everything? Most ponies I know are scared of things, but this pony is so over the top, that it's quite scary..." he questioned with a tone of guilt and sadness in his voice.

Sorrow's guilty expression had still kept upon her face, looking down at her hooves. The way she was being treated right now... It made her feel so useless... Like she was nothing but dead weight to everyone... Well, except for Moonbeam. But that was just because Moonbeam scared the living crap out of her.

 

Nightraxx had brought a new towel, just in case her nose would start bleeding again and had carefully sat down quietly near her, to make sure not to scare her. He noticed her looking downward with her guilty expression "Really, please don't take it to heart too much" he said gently. "I really am thankful i can help you"

 

He thought a second "Being a musician i hoped i would be of use at all in this matter" he said, smiling lightly.

However, after the words had left his mouth, he paused what he was doing and smacked his face with his free hoof. "Sorry, that was really rude... uh, Bolt, do you think after I clean up your room, I could watch you make necklaces? I think that'd be really cool!"

 

"Wow, not only are you accusing her of conducting illicit business, but you ticked her off with that little angry stunt a second ago! What do you mean, brain? Well, you suggested what is likely her source of income to be illegal, and she now thinks you're dumber than a bale of hay due to your taking offense to her magic quip. How are you gonna make this up Windy? I don't know brain, I'll think of something... Oh, here comes Scamps."

What kind of jerk would I be if I kept stringing Scamps on, waiting to see if Bolt will come around, while this colt has eyes only for Scamps? You would be the king of jerkopolis, that's what Windy. Thanks for the support brain... I'm just saying Windy, you need to ask yourself, how interested are you REALLY in Scamps? If you can't honestly say you are only interested in her, than she deserves the guy standing right there who will obviously care for her and her alone... I don't know brain, I just don't know!"

"Feel free to." Firebolt said, though she still was not able to hide a trace of irritation in her voice. Firebolt cocked her head to one side a bit when Scamps came up. "Acquaintance? What does that mean?" She asked. Of course, she knew what she meant by that. It was, obvious, again. A reserved relationship. Which, again, made things easier. As if it wasn't already. Though it was legitimately annoying how Scamps was ignoring her so much. "And, it's Firebolt, actually." She added, sticking out a hoof, expecting it to be shaked.

Fire's smile widened, she loved talking about the aerial silks. "I do Aerial Silks...they're sorda like a trapeze kinda thing. I was performing in the Casino for the drunk gamblers." She chuckled. "I'm usually performing in Cirque De l'Amour with my older brother...but I wanted to take a break so...he got me a job on a ship instead. I said break...not other job but I get to spend the day doing whatever I want then I do a twenty minute show in the afternoon...and I get payed so. I think the ups are better than the downs." She said, chuckling again.

After Moonbeam had explained Sorrow's status and went into descriptive detail about her another pony had approached the group. To Dogboots he seemed invisible to her but he recognized her from somewhere. After she had introduced herself did the stallion finally realize who she was. "Now I know why you seemed familiar. I remember reading an article a few months back about the Cirque De l'Amour. It went into detail about the performances but yours seemed to be the main subject of it. I wish I could attend one of the shows too! I'm sorry. My name is Dogboots it's nice to meet you." He said introducing himself after the long explanation.

Windy adopted a sheepish grin on his face, "I'm sorry Bolt, I should've introduced you by your full name, not my nickname for you. Didn't mean to be rude there." He said, nervously pawing the ground and avoiding eye contact with any of the three ponies next to him, since even to his untrained eye, Bolt was radiating unpleasant animosity towards Scamps...

 

"Warning! Windy, we have a problem! What? Uh, Bolt seems to be trying to incite Scamps by asking what she means by acquaintance. What are you talking about brain? She could just not know what the word means... Shut up Windy, you may be ten bricks short of a wall, but Bolt isn't dumb! She's smart, and almost certainly knows what the word 'acquaintance' means! I mean, YOU know what it means, there's no way she doesn't! I'll bet she's testing to see what Scamps and Airy's relationship is like. This could end really, REALLY badly for you if you don't tread carefully! This is a verbal minefield right now Windy, so tread very carefully... Just say as little as you can get away with and survive until you can go help Bolt clean up her room, and then you'll be away from the drama and alone at last with her! Ok brain, I'll tread cautiously, I'll be careful... I'll just survive the conversation and when Bolt and I go off, Scamps will be alone with Airy and see what a great stallion, which I'm sure he is... Yeah, this is a good plan, I've really outdone myself this time!"

Moonbeam followed close behind Firecracker, walking with a very hesitant, nervous demeanor. She was a little confused about what was going on. She had a tendency to zone out a little, but she definitely thought this whole situation was rather exciting. And there was something about this stallion...

Sunburst nodded, and smiled briefly at Fire Sky and Firecracker in turn before trotting out the door. She was oblivious to the mare's prolonged gaze, however. ((Because I don't want to spend two pages walking to the dining hall, let's say it's near the library for the time being.)) "Hm. That makes sense, Firecracker." She grinned broadly. "Moonstruck's had about enough free time."

Dogboots followed the group but soon took notice of Moonbeam's behavior. "She's always stuttering everytime that she's with that stallion. Guess she's got a small crush for him. Seems like everypony here has got some type of crush." He thought to himself as the group began to approach the Dining Hall. Dogboots had already been here a while ago but still at least he was with good company.
