Something I don't understand about the Royal Guards

What I don't get is why it's assumed that every pony has a *totally* unique, completely original cutie mark.  Obviously many ponies are going to have the same special talents, and there are going to be only so many ways to show that talent, so yeah, you're going to get some repeats.  What, is Applejack the *only* one in all of Equestria whose special talent is bucking apples?

i agree with StatesTheObvious, but i wonder why are all guards(pegasi, unicorn and earth pony) white?

i dont remember seeing a guard coloured other than white...

I'd like to think that the majority of the guards have talents in areas other than guarding. Likes maybe some of the royal guards are good at juggling or one of them is like super good at guarding. Like so good that his cutie mark is a shield within a shield within a shield and so on.

My guess is that their armors are enchanted to make them all look alike (uniforms, as someone already said in this thread).

I have a special place for them in my heart, mostly because I'm writing stuff about them for my RPG, and just because I like "military stuff".

 

About their cutie marks... Trixie's and Twilight's talents are very similar, as was Star Swirl's. But they have different cutie marks. There are probably a hundred different types of shields as cutie marks, a hundred more different types of swords, spears, daggers, crosshairs and the sort. No to mention other types of stuff, like maps, staffs, etc...

Shining Armour's Cutie Mark isn't Being Captain Of The Guard. Shining Armour's Cutie Mark is Protecting Others, which manifests as Huge-Ass Forcefields and Barriers and Exploding/Expanding Forcefields.

Changlings (not sure how to spell it )

But really they reformed Discord, who was the, basically, god of chaos. What holds them from secretly reforming Crysalis and the Changlings? Then it would be better for Celestia, becausee she would only have to have one or two real guards and just clone them. It would be less expensive, and then she would only have to hire higher ups, such as Shining Armor. And even still who said all the Changlings were forced out of Canterlot when Shining Armor used his magical sheild? So maybe there are Changlings who have secretly blended with the regular soldiers.
