Either alien or doctor who are best alien media. Both are great alien movies/shows.But halo is best alien game if we can pick video games.

Yeah we can use games to. Just about any media type is fine.

Hmmm.... choosing the best one would be awkward but the first one that came to mind would be Prometheus. The amount of knowledge needed to make things that would stand the test of time is ultimately impressive. If we as humans could even get along for at least 1000 years then even I would believe we could be capable of such things. But sometimes a part of me really does think I should blow up the planet and start over if i could.

The original Alien Movie was definitely the best, followed by Aliens respectively. Nothing beats those movies.

As for video games I would have say the Dead Space Trilogy is the best, followed by Halo.

I don't really watch movies, though I will say that Star Wars was my favorite alien movie. Than would be Men in Black and District 9.

Favorite alien movie: Aliens.

Least favorite alien movie: MAC and Me. If you're looking for hilariously bad, it's hard to do worse in the alien genre than this film - and that's saying an awful lot. happy.png

I'd say either Spaceballs or Independence Day. Spaceballs due to its sheer hilarity, and Independence Day for being an overall awesome movie.

Indeed.

Some of my favorite aliens movies had to be the first two Alien movies (Alien, Aliens), E.T The Extra Terrestrial, Prometheus, K-PAX (A good movie in at least my opinon) and a lot more. I'm really into the Sci - Fi and Horror genres and some alien movies squish the two together perfectly. Other alien movies without action or horror like E.T are just plain aweshum.

My favorite alien movie you say? Well, the two I'd have to say would be my favorite would have to be The Thing and Starship Troopers. These two movies were the VERY first alien themed goodies I watched when I was but a little guy thus they have a special place in my heart.

As for Vidya Gaems: It'd have to be Jet Force Gemini for my oldie while Natural Selection 2 is a more recent addition ( even if my rig sucks at running it ;-; )

I know we're not talking about that series in particular, but (at least at this moment in time) Alien and Aliens are my favorite movies of all time.

I'd explain why, but I already did!

Kinda cheating by having Number One be a tie, but it's my opinion that when these movies are taken as two acts of one story, they're absolutely perfect. Alien is the greatest horror movie ever made; the production design, from the Nostromo, to the derelict alien ship, to the Xenomorph itself (Greatest Movie Monster Ever, easily) is brilliant, the cast is fantastic and a step above the characters usually seen in these movies, the atmosphere is unbearable, the music is haunting and it all builds to awesome climax. Aliens then does what any good sequel does: it takes everything that worked in the original (the monster, the atmosphere, the likable characters) and expands upon it (much bigger scale that still feels claustrophobic and appropriate, the marines are awesome) while realizing that they can't just copy the first movie (it's more of a terrifying war movie than a horror movie) and adds enough ideas so that it's fresh but still captures what made the first movie good (the action sequences are incredible, there's expansion of themes not seen in the original). Separate, these movies are pretty damn great, but together, they tell the complete story of Ellen Ripley (played by the excellent Sigourney Weaver), one of the greatest movie characters of all time.

One of my favorite movies involving extraterrestrial beings is Knowing. The depiction of advanced technology and the nature of extraterrestrial beings presented in that movie is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen.

My favorite TV show involving extraterrestrial beings is definitely Doctor Who. It's a fantastic show, and I really should get into watching it again. I've seen seasons 1-6, but I haven't watched season 7 yet.

The theatrical cut of Alien and the director's dut of Aliens. They're two very different sides to the same coin. Alien is a dark horror film that plays on the human psyche, but I feel like the directors' cut somewhat ruins the pacing of the movie and I definitely see the reasons why Ridley Scott edited where he did. On the other side, Aliens is a great sci-fi action film. The producer's cut of Alien 3 then comes in second. The producer's cut introduces a lot of human drama that is cut from the theatrical release, and makes the movie far more interesting. The finality of the closing sequence is also the reason why I firmly believe that the Alien trilogy ends here, and not at that atrocious Resurrection movie.
