Twilight derps in show intro?

So I was just watching a Canterlot Wedding again and during the intro I noticed something very suspicious.

When Twilight is in the balloon in the very beginning look at her face and like a second before the balloon goes under the clouds she does this derp face. I checked to see if this was in other episodes and it was!

I don't know if everyone already knows about this or not but if everyone already knows about this please tell me.

yeah i know its just probably a funny thing the animators put in I just thought it was interesting and wanted to share it with you guys.

And why would I want to watch A Canterlot Wedding well probably because it is my favorite episode.

Either way, it mostly likely just an animation error, there are tons of those in the show xP IIRC, Derpy was an animation error from the start and everyone loved her so she turned into a whole fan-based thing xP

I've seen it, and I didn't see anything weird about it.

But if there is, it's probably an animation error.

 I don't think that she is actually making a derp face. To me, it looks like she is staring directly in front of her.

Could just be the fact that since her face is so small (her right eye, even smaller...) and the pupil/iris take up so much of such a small area, it just looks like it's derped.

No, she didn't go derp-eyed, she's just looking down. There's a patch of cloud by her head that looks like it's part of her eye, which makes it look like she's derp-eyed, but without the cloud, it looks like both eyes are looking downward.

I've got to agree with this one... It just seems as if she is looking in a weird/not too common angle, thus making it look a tiny bit weird if one are to pay attention and think over it.

Yeah you guys are probably right its just always looked like a derp face to me. So I guess that not really a mystery is solved

Probably an animation error or just the angle or maybe just a thing the animators but in for laughs

That's because of the low quality, if you look at the intro during an HD video or during an episode you can see her eyes are fine.

But it does look funny in low quality.

Actually since you said this I watched the intro in HD and her eyes did the exact same thing so I don't think it is bad quality

Its all in the highlights of the eyes they might have positioned one higher than the other giving her a "derpy" expression a lot of ponies suffer from this issue. Its really tough getting the symmetry of there eyes down...

Oh I see it now. Her face is just so small it looks like its derped but when you really look at it her face is normal! So the mystery is solved.

Can't really tell for sure. It could be you're trying to see a Derpy face because a similar pose and angle is something Derpy herself has had before.

I don't see what the big deal is whether her eyes move in one way or another, but I do know that I cannot see it even before she dissapears inside the clouds.

 

Other than that, if they do, you own it all to the wonders of using Flash as basis to animate anything.

Ha! I saw it, and I personally like it. Hope none of the soccer mom's notice and rally the troops though. I've seen other screenshots where the ponies have googly eyes though. Maybe this was an animator leaving his/her 'mark'.
