You're fine, the Black mares (or...future black mares) are fine to kill off her soldiers and be pissed about the way she's treating them - they are in the Crystal Empire with her. They would obviously be trapped in there by armed patrols keeping anypony from escaping and getting word out, so it makes perfect sense what's been said so far on your part.

@ could we tone down the power of your character a little? And try to take things just a little bit slower, please. I just think that having the ability to posses other ponies or see through their eyes is a little bit OP, to be honest. There's no mention of it in your characters backstory or anything of the sort.

I just think that having the ability to posses other ponies or see through their eyes is a little bit OP, to be honest. There's no mention of it in your characters backstory or anything of the sort.

 

Oh yeah, I was about to mention that since I know that that type of ability caused the last RP to end up dead.

His main "trait" is forbidden knowledge, which is basically gathering all forms of dreadful magics and information, subjugation of the mind I considered being abhorrent to most mages. I really intended to use it only on NPCs, and if I did use it on another character, I would be sure to give a chance to resist the effects (since something like that I would tone with how the strong the intended target's mind is).

About the "seeing through others" thing, I suppose I could since I've never really even thought of that until now. I'll just relate any information Acheron got was because he drains the ponies' minds with a spell he made to make acquiring knowledge easier.

I'm still skeptical, my main concern is having a character who could simply break the game by knowing practically anything.

If you insist on keeping the power, I would suggest using it to see into their recent memory, moreso than to control them and make them into puppets, essentially.

Yes, I understand why you would be concerned, so no worries. I'll be sure to keep my character more in check now, but be sure to notify me if you see something a bit too off.

As for the knowledge drain, it's more just searching for any useful information, and even if he gets somepony with a good source of information he's still going to have to go through some hardships to get some more critical information (such as fighting them to weaken them and whatnot).

I like the whole 'have to train to stay in the military' thing i came up with. It gives me something to focus on while the war isn't going. Fiera feels her talents can benefit the military, but she just can't exactly use them to their max potential. I think instead of just hoof to hoof combat, i will make her work on specific fighting techniques and maybe use her wings as another pair of hooves.

No where near as complex as my first RP, if that's what you're worried about xD 

 

I think combat between NPCs and our characters can pretty much go how you like, just so long as you don't turn yourself into a superpony and kill 50 of Cadence's highly trained personal guards without so much as a scratch. 

Combat against other participants, honestly I think we can just use the honor system to work with that for the most part, don't dodge everything that gets thrown at you, give others a chance to react to your attacks, stuff like that. 

 

I don't remember if it was said in here or in the PMs with the RP heads but we did say something about getting out of fights without dying, i'll just have a look back through the PM and get back to you about that part. I don't think it's overly important...

 

Right, so I just checked back through the PMs and it was in there. Character deaths is where it came in, nothing major. Basically you can't kill off another character, the only people who have the power to kill another character are myself, Justin, and Derpy if you have been consistently breaking the rules, your character will be killed and you will be removed from the RP. 

 

If, for example, two participants do clash and things go sour for one side, there are numerous ways to end the conflict without a death being involved, such as taking the defeated opponent prisoner, the defeated opponent gets saved by reinforcements etc etc. But, again, play fair guys, we don't want any of the "_____ falls on the floor with blood on him and then his army of super trained guards appears from behind the enemy lines to save him"
