I just want apologize for being so slack with my sketch... I feel kinda guilty about it. It's just that with my new job, I've been training long hours in store and trying to learn all I can during my free time. I don't have a shift tomorrow though, so I will definitely get it done then.

It's all good, priorities for work is quite important in comparison to throwing out a doodle. I mean heck, I haven't drawn past AJ yet and some of us are still playing catch up so no worries

          It's very possible that what you're uploading isn't the actual image but a thumbnail. This could explain why your pics are coming up as small as they are. The best thing to do is usually upload your image to a free host such as Deviant Art and simply link it here. I never really did like how IP.Board treats uploads and I just feel better knowing there's an external link available elsewhere.

 

P.S. Are you simply dragging and dropping the thumbnail of your uploaded image instead of clicking "Add To Post"? If you notice, the top image in the spoiler below is when I simply drag and dropped the thumbnail of the uploaded image to my post. When you click it, the image does expand but it's NOT the full resolution. The second image is when I clicked "Add To Post." As you can see, when you click it the image fully expands to its true size in comparison to the first.

For this time, I decided to draw two circles that represented Pinkie Pie and Rarity before moving onto the rest of the body.  This time, I didn't need to compromise as I could just add in the details.

 

The result made it look much better than the last 2 images I did.  I'm starting to get the hang of drawing Ponies.

Right, here we go. Got a better pencil sharpener, and upped my personal difficulty by adding colour. Then after starting realized that I used up my pink and purple coloured pencils ages ago and never replaced them. *sigh*

 

 

Heh, I just noticed with respect to my coloured pencils; this set has a coupon for $1 off any Polygram tape or record printed on the front, expiring Dec. 31st, 1989.  Do they even make Laurentiens anymore?

 Say.  Next one, you should consider letting us draw a minor character(Like Mrs Cake, Zecora, Spitfire), or a background character(Like Berry Punch or Derpy Hooves).

First and foremost, I need to say: Thanks a lot, D1SC0RD, for making me draw the two ponies with the most ball-bustingly difficult manes and tails EVER.

 

Now behold, my sad little recreation:

 

 

I think I got Rarity spot-on mostly, but I butchered Pinkie's face. Her eyes look derped up, and her head isn't tilted nearly as much as the original. At least I seem to have gotten her body and mane/tail right, for the most part.

 

(On a side note, when I use the Full Editor, the character limit bit on the top says this forum has a 75 character limit, whereas the actual counter at the bottom of the post says 100. What the buck?)

In other words, new image is up. Posted early because I'll be working until evening, and date extended because busybusybusy. I'm sorry guys. Remember that you can always retry the image if you get bored during the wait.

 

Edit: Oh yeah, you guys do not need to draw the bench. Though it might help to do so, or maybe make things more difficult. Go by your own judgment on that one

I also have a challenge to bring to those whom feel the images are too easy. Go the next step and add something you're not normally used to drawing. Things such as backgrounds, additional ponies, color, value, experiment with anything really.

Ok, finally after procrastinating for like a week or so I've decided to take some night time and draw myself some practice stuff off here, in hopes if maybe getting slightly better and of course getting back into drawing a bit.

 

So i'm starting from square one because frankly the other images right now are wayyyy out of my league . 

 

So i'm starting small on Applejack and slowly I'll work my way up, I'll come here and try to draw an image every once in a while, I dunno if I'll be able to prevent myself from procrastinating or not, but I'll try.

 

Its quite difficult to motivate myself to stop procrastinating and draw, I don't think its because I dislike drawing, its just I'm lazy and I don't feel like getting started or something idk.

 

It was quite hard coming back, things where much more bumpy then I remember them, and it is more enjoyable when you know what your doing to a better extent .

 

Anyways rambling aside, heres my very.. bleh Applejack drawing .

 

 

 

 

 

Feel free to critique, I know for a fact there is alot to critique .

 

I'm not really someone destine to be an artist, but I like to do it here and there, I definately don't have a whole lot of talent for it though.

 

I'm also really self critical, which doesn't help me motivate myself to draw in the first place.

 

And I ramble alot.

 

Anyways, I hope to become a semi regularish person here finally, and hopefully not procrastinate, maybe I'll actually improve some xD.

What I liked doing the best was drawing Lyra in this position.  I wouldn't mind drawing more ponies like this(Ether sitting like Lyra does or standing on their two legs ala Bipedal).  The hardest part was Bon Bon's tail.  But in the future, I will be more use to this than I am right now.
