music Nostalgic songs

Anyone here have a song that just makes them stop in there tracks or shed a tear when they hear it for memory's sake (Nostalgia attack, perhaps?)?  For reasons that even I don't know, the song "Clocks" by Coldplay is that kind of song for me. It makes me think about every bit of fun that I have ever had as a kid, though I don't know why.

Well, I don't know about tearing up, but I have a few(TONS) of songs that I have nostalgia for. Here are my first two.

Hotel California by The Eagles, one of the staple songs of my childhood.

Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd, this will always be among my favorites, :), hard to believe it came out in 1975, damn good sound quality. A lot of feels in this song.

I heard a lot of rap as a kid from my family, usually while fishing or parties.

It's a pretty good song but I am getting tired of it since I have heard it so many times but it does bring lots of memories.

Not in particular. My sister was big on Nirvana when I was younger so I remember a lot of their stuff. Lots of rap songs like Party like a rock star and Yeah!!! make me think of high school and when things were simpler.

Some pretty nostalgic songs. I can remember always getting excited when Viva la Vida came on the radio even though I had no idea who Coldplay was or the name of the song. I actually became a fan of Coldplay in about third grade, but I didn't know it until sixth grade.

As for the second one, those who played this game know why it's nostalgic.

Well, I have two links for you. The first two are Coldplay songs. The first is Amsterdam by Coldplay, the other is The Scientest by Coldplay. The third is a mix by Mr. Suicide Sheep called Ripples of Nostalgia.

Oh, I could make long list. These don't make me cry, but they are songs that really take me back to that time...

First of all, this song takes me back to 2004:

No matter how many times I listen to that song it always takes me back to the time. 2004 was not a particularly special time for me, but it garners a lot of nostalgia for me anyway. Perhaps because it is still pretty close to before my life changed.

Then this song takes me back to 2008, especially Spring/Summer 2008:

This was a bit more of a special time for me... College had just started and everything in that regard was looking up, and I had a building social life and for the first time a supportive friend. I had lots of fun times back then... This song was one of the songs that played on a radio station I listened to back again, for that some reason that guitar riff around 0:32 sticks out to me as nostalgic of that time.

I know it's probably strange to have nostalgia for songs way before my time, but that's how it happened. I do have some nostalgia for songs from the early 2000s as well, like Broken by Seether.
