My New Current OC I've Made.

The other day I got alot of help from a bunch of other people that involved me getting help with making my original OC better. I'd like to thank them greatly for all the help, I personally love my new OC compared to my old one, but I still think my new one could use some work. Any advice to make my new one better?

PS. My Current Oc named Dashing Cloud has abit of a description to him but far from finished, unlike my old OC.

However, usually the name matches the cutie mark. Just sayin', no need to change it if you don't want to .

 

 

Personally, I think that the yellow is too bright. And usually stallions don't have magenta as their eye color, it's more of a feminine thing.

Alright, thanks. Sadly, I can't think of a very good name to match the cutie mark, My little description for my Oc is a shy stallion who can be romantic. And his special talent is writing poetry, thus the cutie mark. Sadly, I do agree, he could use a better name.

If his special talent is writing, then I think his color scheme should somewhat match that. Traditional books are usually brown, black, green, or red. Occasionally blue, and all in a dark shade. They also have beige, for the pages. In equestria, ponies usually write with quills. That could be grey, white, black or brown. Of course, that's only one method of making an OC. I'm no expert at it, but I've seen people do it this way and their OCs were pretty cool. But, of course, it's your choice :3.

Very good point right there. Never thought of trying that, and it turned out really nice, changed the color scheme, fixed the eye, changed the cutie mark to fit that of a writer better. What do you think now?

I personally think that the coat color should be more if a cream or beige like Lynette said. The colors are too different from each other I guess... I dunno it just kinda looks like they stand out from each other... A darker color for the coat us a good idea.

Hey, that's quite the improvement over your first OC! I like his newer colour scheme better than the first bright-yellow one. 

He looks more like a flier pegasus more than a writer though, with the goggles and stuff.

 

Anyway, congratulations. You just made yourself a really nice looking OC. ^^

 

EDIT: Some more things - Make sure you look around for similar looking OCs... I've seen so much ocs that looks IDENTICAL! Especially with the white coloured ones. xD

Ah yea, I remember you when I first showed my original OC. I admit myself that I've come along greatly and made alot of improvements then my original OC. I took what you said about the goggles and took it into consideration and made it that much better.

I ended up changing the coat. due to the fact that from what I know. White is used alot as a base when someone makes an OC. What do you think about this new improvement?

A lot better. I'll shamelessly say that my ponysona was originally white and blue But yea the cream looks a lot better than plain white.

That's why at first when making a OC I was abit nervous to do it at first due to alot of people find certain color combinations overused. And Yep, the cream makes a big difference compared to being plain white.

The first one looks quite good I think, its got a nice color scheme on it, and looks pretty well done to me.

 

I do have to admit your first design on your newer OC had a bit to much yellow I think, and the one after looked a bit to white, but the cream colored one looks great, its the perfect medium I think.

 

So yeah good job! I really don't have anything to critique I don't think.

Thanks, I'm glad you like it. And by first one I take it you mean the purple/violet one? That one was before I figured out about this much better Pony Creator, which brought me the last 3 meaning the yellow, the white and then the cream one. Sadly I am stuck though at one crucial part of creating a OC...I still haven't named mine sadly.

Well, the new coat colour is certainly better than the older white one. I think it's a little bit too much though, but it's all your choice. I just prefer something like a Vinyl Scratch pale-yellow. 

If you don't mind me asking kenniks, what exactly is a little too much? Just wondering so I could see your side and what you mean.

I prefer the one at the top with the cremello coat because there are a lot less cremello's out there so it's more unique. Real world cremello's have very light blue eyes.

 

Cutie mark still not matching the name though. Was discussing this with a non brony and another brony I know face to face the other day... How do the parents know what to name the foal when they are born a blank flank? I guess they are psychic! or the name shapes who the pony grows up to be.

Thanks for the help Mike. Sadly I don't even know what to name my own OC as of yet. I'm planning to write myself alittle paragraph about my OC to see if that can give me some ideas.

I was trying to say your oc coat is a little bit too much to the yellow side. (well, atleast for my taste)

 

I usually prefer something like this very pale yellow (almost like a white)

I'd shy away from using the cutie marks in the pony creator myself. Too typical and unoriginal but up to you. do you plan to Role Play him or just use him as an icon/art piece? 

this is a real cremello they are quite a stunning color.

 

Obviously with a MLP OC you can play around with any color but thought you might be interested to see this.

Wow that color looks amazing. I'm planning to role play as him and possibly use him as my avatar. Agreed about the cutie mark but sadly I'm not exactly sure if I could pull off making a good cutie mark...But if I was to I'd either make it a ink well or possibly make it a white quill.
