Life is the finite process of a search for meaning in a purpose that is actually just function.

 

It's the sum of all aspects it has. It is the reflection of the universe, of the whole existence in each and every person. For one alone and for all. It has no specific meaning and is not something you can seperate from everything. It is the result of being here. Being part of this universe. It simply is. You can define it by defining everything.

 

And this is the one thing that makes life special. Being limited to being unable to escape this connection with everything. The greatest gift and the greatest curse, because humans always have the ability to long for more. And being part of it makes it impossible to have the understanding of life that is necessary to really understand it. Because we are not standing outside of it. We can't observe it. Just take part.

Another interesting question...

 

The scientific answer would maybe that we exists so we can reproduce and transfer our DNA to the next generation... but that would be bucking dull! I mean seriously, who wants too live by the words "so I can reproduce" xD

 

No, that's certainly not for me. For me, I think I have come to the conclusion that we live... simply because we do. We live because we live and that's all there is. We don't need to "live life to it's fullest" so we can feel that we didn't miss out on anything.

We don't have to make a mark on the world or in our history, because some day, we will be all gone and nothing but dust will be left and the life of some human will be long-forgotten. 

 

No. We simply live because we do and that's it.
