What is the worst mistake(s) you've ALMOST made?

I want to know one of the worst things you've almost done. I have two: Let me tell you a story for you to understand why.

 

It was back in middle school. I was the "emo" that everyone picked on. I was verbally and physically assaulted, and no one ever did anything about it. I let it build up inside me, and then, one day, I held a knife to my throat, and was going to kill myself. That's number one. Number two is from eighth grade. The bullying had gotten worse. I'm not sure if I should admit this, even if it was three years ago, but I planned out a Columbine-style massacre.

 

I obviously didn't go through with them, otherwise I wouldn't be telling you this. But what are some of the worst mistakes you've almost made?

um but if I have to say something... idk.. when I almost chosed the wrong answer at a test at school and if I had picked wrong I would not have gotten the good grade I got?

I was toasting bread in the toaster, as is my daily routine, but then one of the slices of toast got stuck in the toaster and wouldn't come out. I got a knife and began trying to get it loose. Guess that shows you that I lack any knowledge in electrical current. I would've started going deeper down, so I could've gotten fried.

I think running infront of a car seems to be the worst mistake I have almost made..

Hah, once I was driving down the highway and I was in this lane that you had to pay toll for driving in. It was one of those where you could only get in and out of it when the double white lanes were dashed instead of solid. Well, I wanted to get out of the lane, so I waited for the dashed lines to come up.

 

By the time they did, I was too busy jamming to "The Hardest Thing" by Joaftheloaf and I didn't notice until the dashed lanes were just about to run out. I quickly merged right, but the car in that lane (behind me) was going significantly faster than me (I had slowed down to get over before the dashed lines ran out).

 

Well, the guy behind me had to swerve into the toll lane, and in my effort to get out of his way, I merged right again. Tunes out there was a car in my blind spot over there, and he had to swerve out of the way as well.

 

So basically I made everyone on the highway get into a jumbled up mess, but thankfully there were no wrecks.

I was walking home from high school on the sidewalk on a sunny day. I was about to move over to the right side of the sidewalk, when the space I was about to occupy had a tire flying right through it at a very fast speed from behind, in the air then started bouncing after it passed me. The tire had flown off a van and if I had moved a little bit more over to the right I would of been owned.

 

As Lando from Star Wars would say, "That was too close..."

Uhm...basically...through a period of heavy bullying, I got into a fight with a kid in the bathroom and once I got him on the ground I started strangling him, and proceeded to do so until he was purple...and almost unconscious and/or dead...I almost murdered a kid. That moment still affects me, even after years.

Um, well, one time, I swimming in a pool with my little brother...

 

We were both swimming in the 3 feet end of the pool, and I was like, what 5? So, it was above our heads. Anyways, I wanted to play piggy-back ride games in the pool, and my brother was gasping for breath half the time, and half of the time, I was to busy splashing around, he sucked up a lot of water, but I almost made my brother drown. 10 more seconds tops, and he would've passed out.

Well, this was a pretty long time ago,  but I still remember it.

 

So where I lived before there was this place outside with lots of stairs going up a hill. There were banisters there as well, where kids would slide down for fun. So I decided to do it, since my friends said it was fun. After a couple of times of doing it, I decided to slide down further without jumping off. I forced myself to fall off just in time and landed with no severe injuries. But, there were a a long flight of stairs just a little bit after where I fell, so if I had chickened out into falling off just for a little longer...

 

And that was the worst mistake I could think of :3

In 2003 I fell into my neighbor's driveway on a bike (it's a loooong, bloody and sorta gory story). In 2006 I nearly did the same thing all over again. Thankfully I was paying attention this time. Saved me five hospital trips (although, it probably would've been reduced to one as we already know of a surgeon capable of treating bike injuries) and another year of recovery.

I used to always be the quiet guy, and I did get picked on often, but ever since I started High School, I've tried being more socially interactive, and I did make alot of new friends that way, and I'll tell you, school was much better from there on out.

I never told my 'friends' off when I should have because I'm a Fluttershy with that shat.   She was being really rude and I never called her out until later on, when she insisted it wasn't exactly her fault. She really made me annoyed since it was a party for my family and she was invited. It was really rude to be texting and crap when your kindly invited somewhere. I regret not saying anything because I'm sure it would have made a better person out of her, but she still insists my dad's a bank so I just   at her ^^" Oh well, I guess that mistake shouldn't be made again.

I was on a trip to France with my French club.  We were at an intersection, I looked away for one second, the rest of my group walked off and when I turned around, they were completely gone.  We had no cell phones then or anything (this was the mid 90s) so I thought maybe it would be best if I tried to make my way back to the hotel by myself, but then I realized it would be smarter if I stayed put and hopefully the group would backtrack, and they did. 

 

Thank god for that, because I actually didn't really know how to get back to the hotel.  If i had gone with my first instinct, I would have been completely alone and lost in a foreign country.

I almost killed my brother, I used to have one scary temper which would sometimes come out in episodes of intense violence usually against my loved ones. I was a lot stronger than my brother but he had a speed advantage that helped him on more than one occasion, I am not proud of what I almost did but I am glad to say that I HAVE gotten enough control over my anger to where incidents like these are now a thing of the past.

Believe me, that's mild compared to what I saw. You do not want to see. I wanted to soak my eyes in vinegar. Lesson in life:Never look into sibling's room to find something they took. Its not worth vision loss and mind rape.

Yeah, sorry about that my other voices inside my head like to screw with me sometimes one of them apparently wants to marry me and be the mother of my babies and another one wants me to burn things. All jokes aside it is amazing how one typo can really screw up a statement, it has been a long day for me and I am a bit tired so one big typo slipped past me.

I once lit a field on fire and barely managed to put it out. Only burned like five feet in those two or three seconds.... almost killed several people several times in many ways.

 

I mostly have scars from mistakes that did happen... Including a pentagram burned into my chest... I'm not ashamed of any of this anymore and if anyone really wanted to I wouldn't frown upon you for asking.
