This song sounds "poppy" enough in my opinion. It's late 70's Beatlesque pop, but that still counts for something. Along with well done orchestrations and synthesizer sounds.

Eh, the only pop music I listen to is Noise Pop. It reminds me a lot of Noise Rock bands such as Sonic Youth and Swans

 

Psychocandy is the best Noise Pop album in my opinion. I wish The Jesus and Mary Chain would do more albums like this before taking a drastic turn like they did in their second album

 

Dawn, does stuff like this count? It's an anime ED, but still poppy. And catchy as hell

I've been in a bit of a poppy mood recently, really.

 

Old Maroon 5 was a legitimate pop-rock band. They had a really classy urban life kind of feel.

Then they fucked that up 'cause mainstream.

 

The new Justin Timberlake album is freaking amazing. An orchestral-funk opus for the masses.

I'm glad when guys like Justin get the attention they deserve.

 

Oh and Periphery is basically pop-metal but I've spammed them millions of times already.

Well, for one we've got Spencer who came from a pop/electronic background. Matt Halpern (drummer) does drums for a pop group (actually is Spencer's, lel), too.

 

Compared to other metal bands, looks at them. Almost always playing the upbeat high notes with electronic bits schmootzed in there over some candy-coated riff. Alot of guy would agree that they're fairly poppy. Plus, you decided to choose one of their heaviest songs :V
