I imagined when you said "MAGIC" you did the jazz hands thing.  It made me laugh.  The presence of magic does make it possible for them to pull it off, but Twilight insinuated that it was an extremely advanced spell that not even the Alicorn Amulet could help Trixie pull off.  If not Trixie or Twilight, then only Celestia and Luna could pull that off and I don't see it as likely they would take the time out of their day/night to gender bend somepony.

I guess if Hasbro has printed it that's how it is. At least until the news works it way back to Hasbro and someone make a statement saying that it was in fact just a typo but you gotta admit, the toy does look like it could be male (except for maybe the pinkish lens on his glasses. The idea of Vinyl scratch being a male sits pretty well with me. In fact, I'd like to see more use of typical female and male features like the curved/straigh jawline (well, that's probably the only one) being used between both male and female characters. Even if they found a medium point.

It's prolly a mistake by whoever wrote it. I don't buy that this is a lookalike when the figure has the same cutie mark. But if it is true and Vynil is in fact a stallion, this is going to change everything for future OctaviaxVynil fanfics

My feeling is that this is just a typo.

 

I remember some of the cards typos and miss information where just so awful it was like they had forgotten what the shop was about :x

I think they're meaning to make this stallion be a bit flamboyant and effeminate or just keeping with the standard of "there's nothing threatening about him, he's a toy for girls."'

 

I wonder if they'll release Big Mac in a dress and wig as a toy (scandelous!)
