Alright, I just finished season one of the show, and watched like two minutes into Equestria Girls and Twilight has wings and she's a princess, does this have anything to do with the show? Because if so I just spoiled the rest of it for me.

Erm... Yea, you should finish season two and three... otherwise you'll get plenty o' spoilers.. regardless, there's still plenty more to be discovered within those two seasons!

Do you like Ponies? Do you like Science?  Of course you do!

So why not put your computer's unused computing power to aid researchers in fighting diseases?

"But my computer isn't good enough for science!" Of course it is, any computer or laptop can run the program.

Head on over to http://bronyathome.org/ to learn how you can help!

Uh, yeah, you should have watched Season 2 and 3 before Equestria Girls. Yeah, she becomes an alicorn princess in Season 3, so, yeah, Princess Twilight is in the show.

Ugh, that's one thing I really dislike about Alicorn Twi. The spoilers. So many new fans are going to see pictures of Alicorn Twi when they're not supposed to (which is pretty much inevitable) and it's gonna be confusing as hell. But yeah, might as well tell you now that you've seen it. Twilight becomes a princess in the season 3 finale, and turns into an Alicorn. It was announced before it even happened, so pretty much everyone knew about it beforehand.

Although its kinda of a big spoiler, it actually doesnt make any difference at all to the watching of the seasons, and it had been hinted t to the point of a spoiler by 1/2 way throught s3 anyways so I wouldn't worry :)

The only time you will notice it spoiling anything is the last episode of s3 and maybe a few hints in s3 :), hope you enjoy watching the rest of it :D!

(Warning strongly opinionated, please don't be offended if you like EG)

No.  EG is a big money making piece of shit scandal by Greedsbro inc. to sell a toy.  It is not considered canon in the orriginal show.  Also, if you're like me you're going to enjoy season two the most.  ;)

Honestly? I know it was pretty ridiculous that Hasbro spoiled alicorn Twilight before the episode aired, but could you imagine how much worse the drama would have been if it caught us all by surprise? I don't even want to go there...

As for it being spoiled for the new bronies? Honestly? Big deal. They have waited long enough for spoilers to be everywhere. There are honestly so many TV shows that have been spoiled for me because I was late (sometimes years late) joining the bandwagon for liking the show. But it doesn't upset me when I do get spoiled for some things, because I do not expect everyone on the Internet to keep everything hush hush about certain spoilers. And most of the time, it is my own fault that I got spoiled anyways.

Besides, there are other spoilers in the show. Heck, you get spoiled by watching an episode past season 1 episode 2 before watching the first two episodes! You get spoiled about certain villains, locations, new characters, etc simply by watching some episodes out of order. It happens, and any respectable person wouldn't make a huge deal about it.

Yeah, I guess that's one of the reasons why they did it: to calm down the drama before it happened. Still, I wish they had kept it a secret until the show aired. We rarely ever get events of this proportion, and the one time we do it gets spoiled for almost everyone. It seems that you don't mind spoilers much, but keep in mind that there are many people out there who really hate them. I for one really dislike them when it's a show that I care about. Starting a show late doesn't necessarily mean you will get spoiled no matter what. If you take the proper precautions, you can elude spoilers completely no matter how late you start a show. There have been a few shows I was a little late too, and I was still able to avoid spoilers. Just don't go on sites related to the show or search up scenes on YouTube. There is always the off chance that you'll stumble upon a spoiler somewhere on the Internet, but in those instances there's nothing you can do really. I like to avoid spoilers, but I'm not going to avoid contact with everybody and not go on the Internet until I'm caught up.

Also, that whole waiting thing isn't really fair when you get into the show later. Let's say a prospective brony just learns about the show now, and comes across Alicorn Twi before he's caught up. It's not that he waited too long, he simply learned about the show late, and that's not really his fault at all. It's a shame that so many future fans will not be able to truly see Twilight as a Unicorn. As they watch through the episodes pre-s3 finale, they'll just keep waiting for Twilight to turn into an Alicorn already and not be able to experience the show in the same way that we earlier bronies did.

What you said about expecting people to keep hush hush about spoilers, I agree with you. Given enough time, talking about spoilers publicly is something that's just inevitable. I'm not blaming the fans; I'm blaming the decision to turn Twilight into an Alicorn. The people behind the idea of Alicorn Twi probably knew that this change would be hard to avoid for future fans, but they don't really care I guess.

I think it is sad that future and brand-new bronies won't be able to experience unicorn Twilight unless they try really hard to avoid spoilers. And I also wish that they hadn't spoiled alicorn Twilight before the episode aired, but I also wish that bronies weren't such drama queens... if bronies didn't get so batshit crazy over changes in the show, then maybe some of us would get what we want.

As for the writers not caring, well, maybe they don't, because they know that they will have their giant fan base no matter what. But if they did care, then that may prevent them from making other big changes in the show, which can cause the show to become bland because they are afraid of what would happen if they opened up new opportunities to tell different stories.

My only problem with alicorn Twilight is that it might be too soon. This show isn't ending anytime soon, and the chances of seeing more alicorn Twilight than unicorn Twilight are pretty high. It isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it can make us take for-granted what Twilight needed to do in order to ascend to princesshood in the first place. I understand why the writers did it the way they did, I just wish that they didn't have to.

Twilight's pony form in Equestria Girls has everything to do with the show. You need to finish the second and third seasons if you want to know why she's a princess.

watch season 2 and 3 then you'll understand why she has wings :3 I've done that before where I watched something that was further down in the series by accident before I was supposed to so I can empathize in that feeling of hating that you did that ^^;
