My first Pony OC~

^^ Little bit nervous but here goes.

 

This is the first image of my new pony girl, Winter Blossom. I wanted to keep a lot of the FiM style happening but also give the style my own twist. It's something I don't usually draw so... experimentation, ho! 

 

I hope you like her~ I want to draw more of her and find my own style for ponies. I have more character designs that I love but am not sure I will use... so perhaps I'll find some homes for them sometime.

 

If it isn't clear, her cutie mark is a branch of cherry blossom and snow falling. It's the first thing that I cam up with but I -may- end up changing it. I don't know, so many ideas~!

Very lovely art, and design the shading made her look like a treat and her colors work very well. There is a nice equilibrium in the color palet while keeping a way for her to stand out. Those eyes are great and her outfit works great for her while still keeping her into the MLP world possibilities.

 

Your art its very good as a commission collector I would love to get one piece from you in the future. Keep drawing

Thank you very much for the comments. I was worried that I was being a bit reserved with her pale/subdued colours, but I didn't think anything else would suit her name/theme. I think the yellow does the job to make her interesting :3~ My other ideas for ponies were a lot brighter and bolder but a part of me likes paler colours.

 

Good to know you're one that enjoys commissions. I have done a lot of commission work over the years so have lots of experience. Haven't taken anything for a few months though, but if I ever start again or randomly feel like do the odd few, I can let you know ^^;

Oh my God, this is so good. The shading is perfect, the line work looks perfect. You even got the physics right (breathing in cold air does make you breath foggy, after all)

 

The style is different too

The eyes are what really sells this for me.  Though everything looks great the eyes really pop.  The outfit isn't overdone like most, and the shading is very well done.  Great job!
